285,000 Ryanair journeys ruined by the Irish based airline’s move to improve punctuality

The budget airline Ryanair has left an alarming volume of passenger frustrated over ‘ruined’ travel plans, with a total of approximately 285,000 journeys set to be affected by airline’s attempt to improve service punctuality.
 
Over the forthcoming six week period, Ryanair will cancel between 1,680 and 2,100 flights as it works to ‘improve service punctuality’ which had fallen sharply below 80% over the first two weeks of September 2017.
 
Ryanair passengers who are the affected customers were certainly not pleased by the unscheduled cancellations which have in some cases ruined to and from holiday travel plans.
 
The Ryanair spokesperson says after the peak summer months of July and August the airline must allocate annual leave to staff including pilots and cabin crew in September and October 2017,
while at the same time still operating the majority of their summer scheduled services. Ryan air has apologised for the expected clearing of staff leave backlog.
 
It is clear that with an average of 40-50 flights cancelled per day by Ryan air, over a six weeks period , approximately 285,000 journeys will be affected by this. more news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
