‘3 Months After Leading Burkina Fasso Coup, Brig Diendere Faces Sankara Murder Charges’

Three months ago,in September the man who led the short lived coup,   in Burkina Faso, Gen Gilbert Diendere has been charged with complicity in the 1987 over the murder of f Burkina Fasso’s , former President , arguably an African hero.

Although its widely known that a group of soldiers murdered Gen Gilbert Diendere , there has never been any clarity over what exactly transpired.

Blaise Compaore succeeded the murdered president in power and held onto power for a total of 27 years until 2014, with the Gen Diendere, as his intelligence chief. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
