EIGHT HAULAGE DRIVERS bribed two Sinohydro security guards with RTGS$5 for them not to be searched on exit after draining 175 litres diesel from trucks parked on the company’s for sale.
The eight drivers stole the fuel on Monday night last week and the offences were discovered the next day on Tuesday after a driver noticed drops of diesel near the tipper trucks resulting in management making a police report
The arrested drivers are named as Steven Hamutoni (33), Mkhululi Dube (31), Obrien Phiri (36), Henry Khumalo (26), Funny Navaya (42) , Shadreck Karape (33), Ezra Ncube (29),and Abraham Saein (25), and the two Snake Bite Security guards Siamupande Mupande (37) and Posent Mudenda (29).
