A List Of Mugabe’s Motorcade Incidences Over, Recent Years
June 2016-A 28-YEAR-OLD Harare truck driver appeared in court yesterday charged with intercepting President Robert Mugabe’s motorcade in Borrowdale at the weekend before speeding off in his tipper truck. Chakanetsa was driving an ERF tipper vehicle turning into Borrowdale Road.
The State alleged that Chakanetsa did not stop, but proceeded into the intersection while Mugabe’s motorcade was passing.
Sergeant Mazowe, who was in the backup police vehicle ordered Chakanetsa to pull off the road and Chakanetsa complied.
Mazowe then ordered Chakanetsa to drive to Borrowdale Police Station to be formally charged for contravening road traffic regulations. However, Chakanetsa took the opposite direction and sped off with Mazowe in hot pursuit and sounding the siren. He allegedly continued driving, passing through red traffic lights and was only apprehended in Rugare on his way to Kambuzuma.

However, he allegedly continued driving along the road behind Jeche and interfered with the motorcade.
October 2012- A police outrider in President Robert Mugabe’s motorcade is burnt to death after his bike collided with a T35 truck while trying to clear traffic near Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale, Harare. The bike exploded on impact and the outrider was burnt beyond recognition.
June 2012-Mugabe’s long motorcade , involved in two separate accidents while traveling to his rural home, Zvimba after one of his outriders knocked down a vagrant and moments later a land cruiser burst a tyre resulting in an accident which left security details injured and rushed to Kutama Hospital.
