‘A TOTAL OF 1.7 MILLION ZIMBABWEANS HAVE DIED SINCE 31ST JULY 2013 NIKUV BALLOT TO DATE’,-registrar general Tobaiwa Mudede has said.

www.newzimbabwevision.com would like to remind people that Tobaiwa Mudede is the former president Robert Mugabe’s relative and has been in charge of elections in Zimbabwe since 1980, to date and is kept in place by Mnangagwa primarily because of his Zanu pf allegiance and being a powerhouse in Zanu pf vote rigging. Remeber Mnangagwa needs to maintain AIPPA, POSA, maintain ahold over Zec, the Registrar General office, the Millitary, Media and other institutions for Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats to win the next elections.

For matebeleland, gukurahundi has massive implications, because Mugabe, Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats do not want to acknowledge the genocide and for those not aware, there are thousands of Zimbabweans born from the time of gukurahundi, who after their fathers were butchered by Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats, leaving their pregnant mothers alive. They have always been denied birth certificates and IDs, passports and other registration documents because the where abouts or cause of death of the fathers will not be acknowledged or registered by Tobaiwa Mudede’s office. The majority of gukurahundi victims are now South African passport and document holders because it was easier over , particularly the last 20 years to cross illegally into South Africa and register themselves. These thousands of affected Matebeleland victims who have also gone on to have children of their own also now registered in an unorthodox manner and thats why the Gukurahundi issue remains explosive in the new political dispensantion …..wake up Zimbabwe!

Mudede revealed the shocking statistics on Monday afternoon when he appeared the parliamentary portfolio on defense, and home affairs to answer questions on issuance of identity and travel documents.

“Since the 2013 elections, 1.7 million people have died but we are still working on compiling our total population statistics,” Mudede said without giving figures of how many were born during the same period.

He however, said in the registrar data base, Zimbabwe has about 10 million registered people.

Members of the portfolio committee bemoaned unfriendly registration regulations with some claiming there are a number of Gukurandi victims who are now adults without any form of identification.

The challenge, members of parliament said, has affected even Gukurahundi victims’ children. Mudede also came under fire over spelling mistakes on identity documents.

“People from Harare who work at the Matabeleland Registrar offices use wrong spellings for our names and then you charge us for corrections,” honourable Banda told Mudede.

In response, Mudede told the portfolio committee that if the mistake is on the part of the registrar’s office, “one does not pay” for corrections to be made.

However, he said “sometimes our computers decline some spellings of names.”

Mudede was also implored to take decisive action against touts who operate outside birth records and passport offices.
