Two haulage trucks collided on Mazowe Bridge along the Harare – Bindura highway at around 5pm yesterday, leaving one person dea,
The victim was the haulage truck driver and two other drivers were hospitalised.
It is reported that the trucks smashed into each other when one of the trucks burst a front tyre, and lost control .
A Nissan truck on its way from the Bindura was involved in the accident, leaving the driver injured and hospitalised.
A truck with a load of fertiliser heading towards Bindura carrying crashed into the river, and the driver was killed in the accident, while three people were trapped beneath the crushed truck.
The other haulage truck was travelling towards Harare with two black granite stones loaded on it. The granite stones were fell off the vehicle, in the crash and one stone was left partially blocking the Bindura highway. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
