BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH (BIBLE)13-Contribute your time, energy, expertise, labour, and other charity work into caring for the underprivileged  such as orphans and widows

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO serve God, persevere through struggles , dedicate their free time, energy, expertise, labour, and other forms of charity work into caring for the most underprivileged in society such as orphans and widows, who live in distress. Christians must always avoid being polluted by the world in all they do in this world , because they are righteous.
When one clearly does not put the wealthy, rich powerful over the poor and the weak like orphans and widows, it pleases God.

We all face trials and temptations in life but whenever we can help out the less privileged like orphans, widows, street kids, beggars, the blind, disabled, elderly, unemployed and many others lets do so freely because it pleases God. Your contributions to helping them in life can come in many ways including, cooking a warm meal or even serving a warm cup of tea or coffee, laundry, yard clean up, hedge cutting, mending a fence, giving your time just to be a friend to chat to and listen to and share with, bring a smile, give christmas or birthday cards, serve in a home or shelter, do shopping for the underprivileged, and much more contributions that literally cost you nothing but are life changing to the receivers.
Here is an interesting article, I received from a friend online about a selfless act by someone else, which I hope will stimulate readers into being spontaneous and throwing out progressive ideas to help the most forgotten , basically the underprivileged in society. The story is about a blind boy who sat begging from passers by
He held up a sign to say ‘Iam blind’ please help. Passers by literally walked pass and his plate was generally empty, then a man stopped, asked for a minute to look at the sign, then wrote a different message on the other side and having turned the message around, gave it back to the blind boy and bade him farewell. Within a short space of time, passers by would stop and drop money into his begging plate and it filed up fast. In the evening the man  came back and when he reached the boy, the boy recognised his voice and said ‘Im grateful my plate filled up fast as soon as you left, what did you change on my sign? The man responded. I simply wrote the truth in different way.  I wrote ‘Today is a beautiful day, but I cannot see it’
Its clear that both signs spoke about help in different  ways, but the second sign now shook the public into appreciating the value of sight and seeing each day which the boy couldn’t do and stimulated them to give generously to the needed charity.
The christian message I give to all of you, is that, our contributions to helping them in life can come in many ways  to the underprivileged, and  literally cost you nothing but are life changing to the receivers. Next time you walk past a genuine charity case, think carefully, about what can I do to help, what contribution can I give to this case and the world to help out. That small selfless act is life changing to the recipient of your charity, just think for a moment, if this was my child and suddenly life changed just like that and we who are responsible for his upkeep and welfare are gone for ever, what would I like to happen for my child,..that my friends will trigger a major sense of responsibility and stimulate you to act in a way that will make a positive difference in someone else’s life. We are entering the festive season, christmas and new year are round the corner, see how you can help, give that extra blanket, plate, utensil, shirt, trousers, dress, something to bring cheer to someone else’s life, even if it means skipping s single meal some day just to give to charity, you have no idea what it means to the charity recipient.  Remember :2 Timothy 3:16-17 ’16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work’.

JAMES 1:2-27

2’Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
