‘ Tendai Biti Warned About US$Billions Diamond Looting And Mugabe Ignored Him’-Frank Chamunorwa

The story of the missing 15bn diamonds is as much intriguing as it is nauseating . What begs an answer is when did he realise that the country had been milked dry ?

Common sense does not permit sane minds to haluccinate even for a moment that the old grandpa of a president RG Mugabe indeed didn’t know all along that diamond revenues into the country’s coffers was not commensurate with all the hype and pandemonium that accompanied Chiadzwa diamonds.

To believe that would make a mockery of Zimbabweans who are renowned for their industriousness and wits .Which leaves only one explanation that Mugabe knew all along and not so long ago during GNU tenure the then finance minister Tendai Biti raised a red flag on the dubious revenue receipts from the diamonds and Mugabe chose to rubbish Biti’s concerns then .

How is it feasible that on his 92 nd birthday he chooses to lackaidesically drop the bombshell of lost revenue to the magnitude of 15bn dollars.Barring all else the issue of lost diamonds without any record of an audit having taken place is not only intriguing but begs an answer failure of which heads should role including the ministers of mines who have presided during the inception of Chiadzwa , security personnel , the companies that operated there each and every one who had claims in Chiadzwa and last but not least the one and only President Zimbabwe has known till today because the buck stops with him.

If Zimbabweans cannot demand this enquiry to at least know how and who exploited us esp with the west having been vanquished and seek remedial action both in punitive measures and restoration of our country’s lost wealth. By Frank Chamunorwa
