BLOCKED DRAINS AND LIMITED RUN OFF, cause flooding in drought stricken Cape Town.

Image may contain: outdoor and waterCape Town experienced widespread flooding in urban areas, including roadways in Somerset West and parts of the N1 and N2 highways on Wednesday. This comes as a great breather to some, as the city recently faced a total shut down of water supplies due to drought in what was referred to as Day Zero. This is certainly, a rude awakening for the whole world, over the value of natural resources, including water. It is apoignant time for the people to realise that they need to do more to save rain water, protect clean water, limit the use of water, stop any losses or leaks and protect their water supplies. Everyone needs to have ahand in protecting our future by doing everything right today.By Sibusiso Ngwenya -source-CITIZEN
