Boy (8) eaten by crocodile was attacked while bathing in Dande River Mushumbi Mbire district, Mashonaland Central

A Minor who was allegedly eaten by a crocodile in Mushumbi Mbire district, Mashonaland Central has been identified as Ackim Musewo (8).
Sources close to the investigations claim that Ackim of Muvhundika village under Chief Chitsungo in Mushumbi went to take a bath in Dande River on 13 March where he was attacked by a crocodile.”The tragedy happened on 13 March when the minor went to take a bath in Dande River around 18:00hours.

“The deceased was reported missing on the fateful day and was later identified by Matisiya Chiwapura (54) after seeing the beast feasting on human flesh.” said the source.

56-year-old Vision Musewo, father to the deceased, confirmed the death and said his son’s remains were buried the day before after they were found in the stomach of the crocodile which had been shot by game rangers.

Meanwhile, floods have been recorded in Mbire district and it is reported that crocodiles have shifted from their usual places and therefore it has become very dangerous to bath in rivers.
