Bulawayo Based Veteran Journalist Dumisani Sibanda Was Found Dead This Morning
Sibanda worked for both state run and private media houses.
At the time of his death he was corresponding with Sunday News.
The cause of his death has not yet been ascertained.
His death has been met with great shock among his colleagues.
His former workmate Methuseli Moyo described Sibanda as a commited and fearless journalist.
“I worked with Dumisani at Sunday News for two years, first as my chief reporter and then we became at par when he became special projects editor” said Moyo now with Zimbabwe People First.
“He was a committed journalist who never imagined himself being anything else.
“He respected everyone really and had amazing energy to put together detailed political and socio-economic news features.
“That was his trademark up to just this last Sunday issue of the Sunday News. Dumisani was not the kind of journalist to write many short or sensational stories. He liked tackling big political issues of the time. We will miss him greatly. On my behalf and on behalf of my party ZimPF, I express sincere condolences to Sibanda’s family and indeed the journalism family” by Thobekile Zhou. source-bulawayo24
