To the discerning eye, Zanu pf will rule for many more years because tribalism and the hatred between the Shona and Ndebele is not being addressed by both the opposition and the ruling party.
The ruling party Zanu pf under President Emmerson Mnangagwa who was the minister of State security in charge of the ruthless CIO, cannot reform itrself out of power because Zimbabwe is now a military state with a militarised cabinet including RTd Zimbabwe national Army (ZNA) Maj general Sibusiso Moyo who went on to announce live at ZBC studios that Mugabe was under house arrest and Operation Restore Order by the military was now in place, laying out the start of the coup against Mugabe by the military, Mugabe’s nephew RTD Air Force of Zimbabwe (AFZ) Perrance Shiri a.k.a Bigboy Samson Chikerema who is now the minister of Lands and Agriculture along with crucial Zanu pf posts now fielding military personel.
Zimbabweans must be warned that the forthcoming elections are a window dresser to the outside world and only designed to legitimise an illegitimate Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats regime and we the people just like we did to celebrate mugabes fall and aid the military take over, are now doing the same with mnangagwa and the military,..wake up Zimbabwe!
Major opposition like MDC T, even though the Founder Tsvangirai is dead, must unite the people, shun violence, marginalisation of women, tribalism and lack of constitutionalism in leadership choice or succession otherwise we are set to live under the same if not a worse political dispensation.
Your vote as a Zimbabwean matters. Women must realise that they have the power to bring change in Zimbabwe. Women constitute the majority of the elctorate in Zimbabwe and they can bring down or raise a party by aligning themselves correctly.
It is simple, unless MDC T stand up to the marginalistion of women, tribalism, lack of constitutionalism and all other ‘isms’ we will never win a democratic election for the people or build a united Zimbabwe. The women who clearly in the household are the power house, must unite and like real mothers enforce progressive change, with hold their vote encourage the MDC T current leadership to address the blatantly clear issues or step aside!
If one is a voter, from the ‘wrong’ gender, tribe or other, then with hold your vote and as for women, you are the mothers of all the 18 and above who can vote, the mothers , majority of teachers, nurses, vendors and all other first port of call centres in the public, so, stand your ground and force change.
There is no rush for elections, we need AIPPA, POSA to be removed, Electoral reforms put in place, the rural areas and cabinet demilitarised. If you can’t address the people’s concerns in your own parties or for the people so that they will vote for you, then you are eating away as a party at your own credibility.
Gukurahundi will always be feared topic mainly by the guilty parties such as Fifth Brigade soldiers during that era, the president Emmerson Mnangagwa, his vice Rtd Gen Chiwenga who was the 1 Brigade commander in Bulawayo, the centre for logistics across Matebeleland and Midlands, in which 20,000 Ndebeles were butchered by the Zanu pf North korean trained Fifth Brigade.
This is a genocide that occured in a post 18/04/1980 era , a time of peace under Prime minister Robert Mugabe. Lest you forget , a total of 27, 000 people were killed during the liberation struggle from 1972 to 1979,…that was war of liberation against the white racist Ian Smith Rhodesian regime. During gukurahundi, under the black prime minister Robert Mugabe, over 20,000 unarmed, innocent Ndebele victims were butchered by Fifth Brigade under Perrance Shiri,…that was PEACE!
Zimbabwe is a large country with a relatively low population, the records of the soldiers under Fifth Brigade during gukurahundi, their operation areas, points of attack, operations and activities across Matebeleland and Midlands are in place though hidden from public scrutiny.
Emmerson Mnangagwa, a man who has been Mugabe’s right hand man for 55 years, a Zanu pf stalwart , president of Zimbabwe now, was, under Gukurahundi, the Minister of state security with CIO and other security units under him. he has always been either Minister of security or the Justice Minister alternatively annd now the President. Mnangagwa can never reform Zanu pf out of power and all he tells the outside world is to attract investment so the same criminals who looted under Mugabe can loot further whilst Zimbabweans continue to suffer.
To the discerning eye, because of the fact that the Fifth brigade murders are mostly still alive, they, their families including, parents, wives, husbands, children and other will always go on the defensive when the issue of gukurahundi is raised, speaking about issues that allegedly occured before anyone was born, almost 130 years ago. No one can deny these ever happened in just as much as no one cannot prove that they never happened, but we are all blessed in that the perpetrators of gukurahundi are still alive, including Mnangagwa, Chiwenga, Shiri, Fifth Brigade, the records are in place both in the military and CIO and president’s office, Ministry of defence under Mnangagwa’s nephew the Permanant Secretary for Defence Martin Rushwaya, the evidence is in place, bones of thousands in mine shafts and pits and at the same time friends, wives, children, parents and husbands of murdered victims are still alive, yet Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats deny liability, will not apologise for the genocide, open records for public viewing, explain waht transpired during gukurahundi, why it happened and who was responsible, compensate victims and survivors, heal the nation unite the people and move one Zimbabwe forward progressively.
My point is that its not just the Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats in denial but also the hundreds who are swift to engage in retrogressive debate and abuse those who speak out for justice, while hoping the issue will die away, not realising that the blood of the innocent 20, 000 Ndebeles will never be forgotten and no matter how long it takes, someone some day will answer, but until then, victims must ramp up their defiance to oppressive authority by speaking out and forcing the government to address the gukurahundi issue.
Watch the defensive, abusive, denial in debate by those with skeletons in theior cupboards over the gukurahundi genocide,..let the evidence in debate speak for itself,..just follow the thread. If gukurahundi is denied then we can as well say Mugabe and Zanu pf are equally innocent over all attrocities post independance, including gukurahundi, murambatsvina, Chiadzwa diamond fields helicopter genocide, murderous white farmer evictions, 2008 election violence, torture, murder, dissappearance and forced exiling of thousands,…because Zanu pf are NICE people,..just ask Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats,…wake up Zimbabwe!
The sad tribalist divisions and hatred manifets in everything in Zimbabwe including party structures and ongoing lack of constitunalism and freedom in once upon atime greatly respected organisations, making Zanu pf under Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats, clearly a better choice to vote for because they are known killers and heartless , so, you know what you are getting when you vote for them unlike deceitful opposition who only want to use you for your votes yet do nothing to alleviate your situation.
