The two were found guilty by the court of colluding and allocating a residential stand to Chitungwiza mayor, Phillip Mutoti’s three-year-old son.
SUSPENDED Chitungwiza mayor, Phillip Mutoti, who was convicted together with the town’s housing director Kennedy Dube of criminal abuse of office, was yesterday sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment.
We have spoken about the missing US$15 billion that disappeared under Mugabe’s watch and we have seen how Former Agriculture Minister, Made stole numerous wheel chairs, seed, medicine and other equipment and piled them at his farm, and along with countless crimes by ministers but Chitungwiza mayor, Phillip Mutoti, takes the cup of the year so far.
The Chitungwiza town mayor, Phillip Mutoti, convicted along with the town’s housing director Kennedy Dube of criminal abuse of office, has been sentenced to twelve months in jail, with four months suspended and the rest of the sentence commuted to 280 hours of community service.
The two were found guilty by the court of colluding and allocating a residential stand to Chitungwiza mayor, Phillip Mutoti’s three-year-old son.
Mayor Phillip Mutoti’s son’s stand application listed him as a self-employed lodger at Number 343 St Mary’s in Chitungwiza.
The minor, as aresult of the application was issued Stand Number 26008 in Unit C, Chitungwiza.
