Despite a damning dossier of allegations of corruption and public disgruntlement against Harare businessman Wicknell Chivayo, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has kept the controversial Wicknell Chivayo’s Intratek company on the US$200 million Gwanda solar project.

PARLIAMENT TO SUMMON PRESIDENT ‘Ediot’ MNANGAGWA to explain why, despite a damning dossier of allegations of corruption and public disgruntlement against Harare businessman Wicknell Chivayo, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has kept the controversial Wicknell Chivayo’s Intratek company on the US$200 million Gwanda solar project. The Chivayo company was awarded the project by the Zimbabwe Power Company.

An investigation into how the businessman’s firm was awarded the lucrative project reportedly revealed that the investigation was complete, and Parliarment has been informed that Chivayo was reported to both the police and Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.

However to everyone’s surprise, Parliament was told yesterday that Wicknell Chivayo company, Intratrek, was back on site clearing land for the project launch of the Gwanda solar project site, a great shock to all, which has led them to decise to summon President Emmerson Mnangagwa over this.
