DNA analysis of Britains oldest complete skeleton, a fossil, known called Cheddar Man, one of first modern Britons, who lived about 10,000 years ago shows thatfirst modern Britons, had “dark to black” skin.

Scientific research in the Uk has made the most amazing discovery which will upset the history of immigration to the British island.

Britain’s oldest complete skeleton, a fossil, known as Cheddar Man is one of first modern Britons, who lived about 10,000 years ago.

It had always been assumed that would have been white, but the latest discovery by scientists through DNA analysis shows that the first modern Britons, had “dark to black” skin.

The fossil, known as Cheddar Man, was discovered over a hundred years ago in Gough’s Cave in Somerset. The fossil DNA shows that Cheddar Man had blue eyes, with dark brown to black skin colour and dark curly hair, totally discarding the notion that ‘British’ means white.

This scientific discovery fits in with the historical narrative that the first settlers after the ice age came from Africa to Europe and crossed to Britain when the island was still attached to mainland Europe before rising sea levels separated Britai from mainland Europe.
