Funeral For Indianapolis Junior Academy Principal & Two Children Will be held On Sunday

FAMILY and friends will, on Sunday, lay to rest the Zimbabwe-born school principal and two children who were killed in a car crash last week as they drove to school.

Funeral services for Indianapolis Junior Academy Principal Norris Ncube, his son Joshua Sandile Ncube, 12, and his niece Malia Siziba, 5, are planned for Sunday at the Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis.

Ncube was driving five children to school on October 6 when his SUV was struck by another car on in Wayne Township.

The rush-hour crash killed Ncube instantly and sent all five children in the car to the hospital, as well as the driver of the other vehicle.

Investigators are looking into whether the driver, 80-year-old Jack Reed, suffered a medical problem that caused him to lose control of the car. His family has said he had a stroke.

Ncube, 52, moved to the United States from Zimbabwe, where he fostered an appreciation for education after fighting for one in his home country, friends have said.

Of the three students who were injured in the crash, Buhlebenkosi Anita Nkoma, an eighth-grader, and Deon Siziba, a sixth-grader, have since been released from the hospital.

Jessica Senele Ncube, the daughter of Norris Ncube and twin sister of Sandile Ncube, remains in the hospital and is slowly recovering. source-newzimbabwe
