Harare City Council Dismissal Of 3000 Workers Has Been Reversed By Government
In yet another unprecedented move, and also an obvious indecisive and rushed decision making by Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime, whose party dominate the the Harare City Council, there has been a reversal of the Harare city council earlier dismissal of 3000 workers on three month notices, by the government, thereby shelving the Harare City Council’s efforts at retrenching staff.
The Zanu PF Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, Saviour Kasukuwere exerted his power by blocking the dismissalsas in his own understanding, there is aneed for Harare city council to revisit the ‘flawed’ decision. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
