Harare Residents Saddened By Urban Tollgates
Harare Residents Trust has alleged that the city residents have been saddened by the move by government to introduce city tollgates.
Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Obert Mpofu was recently quoted in the media saying government is now introducing cities tollgates in efforts for the government to raise funds for infrastructural development.
Harare Residents Trust questioned as to whether the urban tollgates-were welcome or unwelcome.
“The HRT is saddened by the attitude of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development Dr Obert Mpofu who was quoted by the NewsDay saying urban tollgates will be imposed,” said the Trust.
“The Minister is disrespectful of the Constitution of Zimbabwe which requires the citizens to be fully consulted, without being insulted.” by Stephen Jakes. Source: Byo24News
