How To Alleviate Zimbabwe’s Prison Crisis
To resolve Zimbabwe’s prison crisis and prisoner welfare, of inadequate government funding , prisons are overcrowded, with widespread starvation, collapsed Service delivery in reticulation and clean water, electricity, shortage of prison uniforms and blankets.
Prisons must be freed of overfilled space and we should bring in a credible, well organised pardon and reintroduction of those convicted for petty criminals along with proper counselling and support services, thus make room for the filthy rich multimillionaires, Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts, securocrats who have collapsed our economy to be hauled in and serve time for their crimes against humanity.
Their ill gotten wealth, the people’s legacy, which includes, farmland, mines, game reserves and businesses must be recovered by the state and channelled to wards upgrading, expanding and developing the prison system, bringing it in line with modern first world prison systems.
The real criminals in Zimbabwe are living like kings, bragging about their criminal exploits, channelling and laundering their stolen millions through ‘shady ‘ donations to Mugabe and his Zanu PF stalwarts, Zim1 family and associated businesses and national interests. No amount of pretence or ‘goodness’ should ever supercede the Rule of Law.
All proceeds of crime must be recovered at all cost and put through to servicing the affected communities. In the case of Zimbabwe, the affected communities include those who have lost houses, businesses, mines, farms, game reserves, homeless hungry children who have been robbed of a future through being unable to afford, access to the limited health, education, housing, roads and electricity Service delivery and forced exile including the very trauma of seeing the suffering of one’s fellow kith and kin, a result, undisputably all inflicted upon the peace loving Zimbabweans who simply seek democracy, equality, prosperity and justice for all, by the lawlessness brought by Mugabe and his Zanu PF regime .It is folly to pretend that there are no victims of crime particularly the blatantly obvious, Mugabe and his Zanu PF fuelled entropy.
To Mugabe and his Zanu PF I say, Zimbabwe is burning up and heading for ultimate disaster. The ‘Ship is sinking’ and like the old adage states, ‘When the Titanic is sinking, you don’t stop to shout at the iceberg, instead you lower the life boats and save as many lives as possible by bailing out!
The fact that Zimbabwe is on the brink of total collapse does not justify the Zanu PF circus show, whereby Grace Mugabe, Robert Mugabe, Zhuwao and other Zanu PF stalwarts are trading insults, and blame across public media, instead of admitting, there is no hobe,..’Time to all bail out’..’Evacuate government Now,..and leave more capable people to kick start the economy’
