Jonathan Moyo ‘flew too close to the sun and the wax holding his political wings, melted’

MDC-Renewal Team spokesperson Jacob Mafume has mocked Tsholotsho North MP Jonathan Moyo saying the wax which had been temporarily holding his political wings has melted after he flew too close to the sun.

“They that fly close to the sun – Jonathan Moyo’s wings of wax,” Mafume said.

“You have to give it to the chap sometimes, he has a soaring political career but alas Icarus the son of Daedalus, he always flies close to the sun, repeatedly. The political wings he makes are always made of wax.”

He said the man gets fired, ignored , side-lined whatever word you coin – humiliated – best describes his current predicament .

“True to form he creates a fictitious procedure of him being a born again parliamentarian therefore he needs to be re-baptized minister,” said Mafume .

“Hell ya right, if anyone believes that, then I am John the Baptist. Not content from being brought from the proverbial political wildness, the man makes enemies like a set of dominoes (Tomana, Mboweni, Mnangagwa, Mujuru…) They seem to be falling on him though, the man seems forever caught up in a game of political snakes and ladders.”

Mafume said he has been swallowed by an anaconda this time and is desperately looking for his Jonah moment.

“Where does the gentle whale spit him this time – back at the Ministry of Information?” he asked.

“What is amazing though how he has control of the media both private and public or is it the fear he installs. They are afraid to mark the fall of a political god. If not the media who shall announce the death of the gods. Come on guys give us the inside story – the story behind the story or maybe we are so used to him setting the agenda – today he is the agenda.To those who want me to be simple in my English – sorry Jonathan is not one for simple tongue.”  by Stephen Jakes. Source: Byo24News
