Matabeleland South Juvenile (17) Admits To Murder For Body Parts On Order By Businesswoman

COURT proceedings were yesterday halted after a teen arraigned for theft confessed to murder.

The juvenile, 17, told prosecutors he was haunted by the spirit of a person he and an unnamed colleague allegedly killed, severed his private parts and sold them to a local businesswoman.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nkosilathi Sibanda yesterday said they were following leads from the confession to get to the bottom of the matter.

The teen was arrested on Wednesday last week at Insindi Business Centre after he had allegedly stolen two cellphones and $65 from a shop where he had been recently employed.

Detectives tracked him down and brought him back to the crime scene where he first made the chilling confession.

He was brought to court on Friday on the theft charges where he again told prosecutors about the murder — within earshot of The Chronicle.

“We killed him. My colleague stabbed him on the neck. We removed his testicles. We then took the body to the tarmac near Mbalabala where the body was run over by vehicles,” he said.

The juvenile said they sold the testicles to a local businesswoman who resides in Gwanda town, whom he did not name.

A source who was at Insindi Business Centre during the boy’s confession said the juvenile told the gathering that they had been given a new assignment to bring human blood.

“He said they were recently assigned by the same woman to bring about 750ml of human blood and said they had been promised $7,500. He said the issue is troubling him,” said the source who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not cleared to speak to the Press since he is a civil servant.
