Namibia has 2000 Teaching vacancies open to any qualified Sadc nationals
Zimbabwe has an unemployment rate over 90% with approximately 25,000 unemployed qualified teachers included in the ridiculously high unemployment rate.
However, it appears, the horizon has brightened for unemployed teachers who have started mass migration to Namibia after the Namibian government reportedly posted an advert for 2 000 teaching vacancies to be filled.
The advert further clarified that the vacancies are open to any Sadc national in both primary and secondary schools in various provinces of Namibia
The teaching posts offer great incentives to successful applicants who will receive housing benefits, transport allowance, pension fund, medical aid scheme, social security and generous vacation and sick leave generally luxuries which are non existent in the collapsing Zimbabwean economy.
The Namibian government requires certified copies of academic qualifications , a complete CV and employment history on Form 156043 and 156094 which are avail able from all Government Offices and on www.moe.gov.na <http://www.moe.gov.na>. At the same time the interested teachers must process their work permits by approaching the Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs office to process their work permits. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
