‘NEW CONTINENT DEVELOPS AS PART OF AFRICA BREAKS OFF’-A new continent is forming due to splitting in the earth’s crust in the Great Rift Valley.

The Great Rift Valley, runs through the African continent down the Horn of Africa in Mozambique. A shield volcano in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya called Suswa, situated between Narok and the kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Monday 19 march 2018, experienced massive Earth movements, which caused deep fissures in Narok County.

This is due to numerous weak spots numbering into hundreds on the Great Rift Valley from the Horn of Africa to Mozambique .
Fertile, arable land is now simply rugged area of splits that have developed due to tears that are in some areas 50 feet deep and more than 20 metres wide running down it in four African countries in the Horn of Africa, namely Somalia and half of Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania.

They are breaking away from Africa as a new continent develops according to scientists who have named the new continent as Somali Plate. The piece that will break away is not an island, but continuous expanses of land from four African countries in the Horn of Africa, namely Somalia and half of Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania.

Geologists say that forces of the Earth are greatest at the base of the Great African Rift Valley. Suswa is at the bottom of the valley where geological processes are most active.

The fault lines are creating amassive challenge for engineers with respect roads, rail and other infrastructure as just last week, fissures occured and had just been filled in only for more to suddenly appear on Monday 19 March 2018.

It is not only a challenge for engineers but for the government as a whole because, peoples homes suddenly collapse or split in two, bridges collapse, roads suddenly collapse, farmland splits, and water sources are broken off due to Suswa geological activity.

Problems at Suswa, lead to regular repair works where the Kenya National Highways Authority, regularly fill gullies with concrete and rocks, but this is a temporary solution to an developing situation where the Somali Plate is expected to completely break away in about 50 million years .

In my view, its interesting history for Kenya considering that at the time of the death of the last male Northern white rhino on earth, named ‘ Sudan aged (45)’ in Kenya , Africa suffered great forces of the Earth at the base of the Great African Rift Valley, Suswa in Kenya,…that should give them something to think and write about for centurie to come,…stop killing wild life!
