‘Prostate cancer sufferer South African music legend Hugh Masekela (78) has died’.

According the South Africa’s ENCA news channel, Masekela, who was fighting prostate cancer and disclosed his ailment last December, died this morning.   The veteran trumpeter and ground breaking artist was 78. The star was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008.   Bra Hugh – as he was affectionately known by his adoring fans – was born in Witbank, Gauteng on 4 April 1939. Several people were burnt beyond recognition near the 25kilometer peg along Mvurwi – Guruve highway this morning when a Harare bound commuter omnibus they were travelling in crashed and caught fire.   Sources who spoke to Bulawayo24 allege the driver slept there by veering off the road crashing a tree before burning people beyond recognition.   When Bulawayo24 arrived on the scene Mbire legislator Douglas Karoro was busy extinguishing the wreckage.   Confirming the accident…
