PRIME MINISTER TO TRIGGER ARTICLE 50, at 12:30hrs and begin Brexit,a two year withdrawal process from the European Union today Wednesday 29/03/2017.
After fourty five years of EU membership by Britain, At 12:30 today, Britain will technically have reached the point of no return in take off from the European Union (EU). The European Council president , former PM of Poland Donald Tusk will receive a letter from British Prime Minister Theresa May, that will begin the formal withdrawal of the UK from the EU.
This will certainly be the iconic small step for the British Parliarment, and a great step for Europe as the 27 country UK team which has always been united, will break apart as the first ever member to withdraw from the Union to withdraw , will do so, and that will be signalled by Britains withdrawal.
Britains withdrawal is also critical as many other EU member countries have been hovering and waiting to see how Britain will excecute the withdrawal process and are keen to see the impact on the country and ultimately the Union as each member has differing priorities in what it chooses to benefit from a withdrawal.
The most significant impact on Britain will be a demand by the EU that Britain should pay withdrawal bill of 50 billion GBP, though its argued by some legal experts in parliarment that the UK does not owe the EU that much and is under no legal obligation to pay any withdrawal bill to the EU.
To the discerning eye, newzimbabwevison, in the interest of an amicable and progressive future, there will be a need for Uk to bend backwards in submission to EU demands and push for a deal that will place the Uk in control of its borders, maintain employment law protection and ensure free and profitable trade with remaining EU members as currently Uk does massive business trade with the EU.
Scotland PM Nicola Sturgeon is currently calling for a second referendum for the Scottish to withdraw from the UK as she feels that Scotland should not be forced into the UK withdrawal pact and Scottish people want to remain a member of the EU. This is again another example of the impact of triggering Article 50, in essence no body knows the real impact as it has never been done before but beyond 12:30 pm today Wednesday 29/03/2017,once the bridge is broken, we have to live with the consequences and hold the Brexiteer campaigners to account for their promises and see a withdrawal start delivering for the people such as more control over Uk borders, stemming own on illegal immigration, more jobs for locals, more housing and effectively more power to the people of Uk instead of surrendering everything to EU control and most rights and benefits to foreigners,…now we wait!
Today Wednesday 29/03/2017 stands out as a day of celebration for keen Brexiteeers who have waited since they won the Brexit vote to have the promises by the PM to kick into place. This is not a straightforward process as the great journey of independance will bring back at least 50,000 laws previously surrendered to the EU in Brussels by the UK government brought back under the control of the UK government.
