PRESIDENT EMMERSON MNANGAGWA’S NEPHEW ALSO DIDYMUS MUTASA’S NEPHEW , the Norton Legislator Temba Mliswa has urged President Emmerson Mnangagwa to declare Zimbabwe’s corruption a national disaster so that full attention, resources and time are channelled towards eradicating it.
Mliswa said that Zimbabwe’s corruption has destroyed the country, adding that the nation needs persons of integrity to lead the various institutions so that we can eradicate corruption.
This a clear sign that his uncle is realising he is not winning the war against corruption as he has now declared an extension window.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa extended the amnesty for the return of externalised foreign currency and assets, by two weeks from 28 February 2018 to 16th March 2018, and then outstanding cases will be publicized on the 19th of March 20.
Reading between the lines, between mnangagwa and his nephew Mliswa, this is a state of panic considering that they fall far short of the promises to root out corruption by Mnangagwa, so, in order to cover himself, he has had to extend the amnesty period, knowing that failure to recover the millions looted, and to arrest offenders is aclear lack of political will upon his part to eradicate corruption.
It is understandable considering that Mnangagwa himself is a filthy rich Zanu pf meber who amassed his wealth through minerals corruption during the DRC war when Zimbabwe’s military fought the war in support of DRC.
The RTD General Minister Sibusiso Moyo is also a registered offender or ‘wanted’ minerals criminal. The bulk of the externalised funds were taken out by deposed former president Emmerson Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats, therefore any more serious efforts to expose them, strip them of their wealth or jail them, would be shooting himself in the foot as the same army that put him into power can bring him down.
This is why he wont touch Mugabe, Grace Mugabe, Obert Mpofu or even Temba Mliswa who was arrested almoste 80 times and languished in remand prison by ZRP under Chihuri,
Touching all these looters would unsettle people and the response would be either to expose him and bring him down or eliminate him, none of which are acceptable to him so he has to leave them alone. In your own mind, considering that the corrupt former Minister Ignatious Chombo is still afree man after looting so much beyond imaginable levels and all proven corruption,..then you imagine other people will be arrested, especially when Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats need the support and votes of all the offenders?
Mnangagwa cannot afford alienating any of these corrupt individuals in the run up to the make or break 2018 harmonised elections, so, no one will be forcibly stripped of his corruptly gained wealth, exposed or jailed,…lest you forget, mnangagwa himself has much more to lose in terms of the corruptly gained wealth he has amassed,…Wake up Zimbabwe!
