President Xi Jinping’s Investment Deals, A Change From Western To Look East Policy Of Recolonisation

China, keen to develop and spread its global influence has pledged US$60billion deals to Africa. Some people view this with suspicion, arguing that China’s main interests are known to plunder African minerals and resources, prominently, oil from Nigeria and copper from Zambia and major rail project.

Chinese Banks are spread across Africa financing infrastructure to aid much needed development in Africa.

China has slowed down considerably in terms of growth but even though it has strongly contributed to Africa’s economic, political and ideological development, people argue that China’s interests take precedence and its China’s self interests at heart. China however claims to be allowing Africa to lead its own growth in its own way and evolving from the old school model of engagement with the African world.

Since 2006, China has doubled its investment in Africa very two years. China is obviously expanding its economic base, more buyers, jobs for people to buy cheaper Chinese exports that will be competing with the western products.

The Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Visit And Investment Deals, Is Just A Change From Western To Mugabe’s Look East Policy Of Recolonisation.
To the discerning eye, the recent visit by the Chinese President Xi Jinping, is nothing short of, the final colonisation of Zimbabwe, the only difference from colonisation by the British force led by Cecil John Rhodes , almost 130 years ago, being that, today it is now being done on a wholly willing basis by the despot led Zanu PF regime.
Zimbabwe’s, anti western and arguably the most controversial African leader of the century, is basically mortgaging off Zimbabwe to the Chinese or paving the way for modern day colonisation by China.
Whilst the majority of Zimbabweans are destitute due to unemployment running at over 80%, homelessness, inability to pay for health care, education and other basic services, Mugabe, Zim1 family, Securocrats and Zanu PF stalwarts have become overnight filthy rich US$ multimillionaires through the monopolisation of wealth and power.
Zanu PF continue to loot, land, wildlife, minerals, natural wealth and all national wealth within their reach, whilst a controversial Look East Policy, has simply traded the colour of former colonisers from western powers to the Chinese who are milking the opportunities arising from this.
The Chinese first waded into the Chiadzwa diamond rush with Mugabe and his Securocrats blessings and exploited the diamond mining industry, exporting minerals and earning vast riches whilst Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts and securocrats violently evicted all genuine ordinary local and business diamond prospectors using the army and made way for themselves and the Chinese.
15 Years after Mugabe’s failed land policy which forcibly evicted white commercial farmers, President Xi Jinping visit to Zimbabwe , glaringly exposes Mugabe’s deceit because the black farmers who were allocated former white owned land, not only lack the farming knowledge and experience, resources, finance and capital but have made hundreds of thousand of former black farm workers homeless and jobless.
Apart from the filthy rich Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts, securocrats, criminals, business persons well connected in Zanu PF, and some religious faith leaders, who have benefited from the deliberately created entropy and all become US$ multimillionaires, Zimbabweans today have become poorer than they were 15 years ago when Mugabe’s Zanu PF war veterans led the anti western campaign across agricultural land, game reserves, businesses and mines.
Millions of Zimbabweans have been forcibly exiled, made jobless and homeless and there is no hope of a better life with Mugabe and his Zanu PF in power, yet the despot leader continues to mortgage Zimbabwe off to the Chinese, signing away mineral, land, and other agreements which will lock Zimbabwe is some difficult to break off or reverse from agreements typically simply shifting the republic from western to eastern colonisation.
President Xi Jinping interests, in no way, place the interests of Zimbabweans first, but rather, as argued by many, to spread the Chinese empire from Cape to Cairo, a dream held by our former British colonial master , Cecil John Rhodes 130 years ago when he arrived in that region of Africa.

China has great experience in infrastructural development and the money to back up the deals its advocating for across Africa, which desperately needs investments and jobs but the risk is that China will bring its own people to take up the jobs created. That is the challenge that Africa faces and more worrying is that, does a 91 year old despot president, whose ideas are locked in regressive political ideologies, racism and anti western culture, capable today of negotiating long term mordern deals which are focused on equality, growth, a spending economy, and also allow diversification without exploitation,…..I have my doubts! For real and progressive change that filters down to the ordinary street person and is not confined oly to Mugabe, his Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts, and securocrats, the despot Mugabe and his Zanu PF must all go,..end of story!
Whilst Zimbabweans are slowly awakening to the reality that their despot president Robert Mugabe, is mortgaging the country to foreigners, particularly the Chinese, there is no legal or political will to put a stop to this and protect suffering Zimbabweans now, their children, descendants and future hence Mugabe and his Zanu PF regime has only managed to disempower its people whilst empowering the Chinese, Zimbabwean criminals, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts, securocrats and religious leaders. Wake up Zimbabwe!. Please feel free to share with all your friends worldwide,..thank you!By Sibusiso Ngwenya
