Robert Mugabe International Airport is a sign by Zimbabweans that the despot is the only nationalist we have had,….. FALSE!

HONOURING PRESIDENT ROBERT MUGABE BY NAMING INSTITUTIONS AFTER HIM AND HIS WIFE, for example the Robert Mugabe International Airport is a sign by Zimbabweans that the despot is the only nationalist we have had and that this despot is the man who single handedly freed the country, through the liberation war, which he never participated in. What a shame that Nationalists like Ndabaningi Sithole who was instrumental in forming the liberation party Zimbabwe African Union (Zanu) as a founder .Image may contain: sky, outdoor and water

Rev Ndabaningi Sithole a true hero was born on July 31, 1920 and died on December 12, 2000 in the USA and was eventually buried at the Sithole family farm in Mt Selinda, Manicaland province Zimbabwe.
Rev Ndabaningi Sithole President Robert Mugabe and along with the late nationalists Enos Nkala, Edgar Tekere , Maurice Nyagumbo, Herbert Chitepo and Leopold Takawira in August 1963 founded Zanu at the late Enos Nkala house in High field Harare and from that team, only the despot President Robert Mugabe survives today at an advanced age of 93 and almost 38 years leading Zimbabwe since independance on 18 April 1980.

Not surprising, that Mugabe’s hand in murdering colleagues that engineered Herbert Chitepo’s murder in Zambia before the 1980 independance and sidelined the 1964 Zanu leader Methodist rev Ndabaningi Sithole to become the Zanu leader is very clear. When Sithole became the Zanu leader in 1964, Mugabe was his Secretary General .

The white Ian Smith Rhodesia regime in 1964 banned Zanu and arrested Mugabe,Nyagumbo, Tekere, and Leopold Takawira and Rev Ndabaningi Sithole. The late revolutionary Sithole while in prison with Mugabe, Tekere and other key nationalists gave the late nationalist Herbert Chitepo, who had fled from Zimbabwe, the authorisation to continue the Zimbabwe liberation struggle from outside Zimbabwe as a Zanu rep.

That decision to plod on with the liberation struggle by Sithole eventually broke the camel’s back as it forced Rhodesia to come to the table in 1979 and negotiate eventually establishing a peace settlement the Lancaster Agreement in 1979 that freed the black people of Zimbabwe from white oppression and brought about the April 18th elections in 1980 which made Mugabe the prime minister then executive president now almost 38 years

After Independance when the Methodist Rev Ndabaningi Sithole, the leader of the Zanu PF party he formed, President Robert Mugabe who monopolises power and wealth denied Sithole something as basic as a district hero status after all he did to liberate Zimbabwe, while his liberation war peers including his Mugabe;s home boy Chief Jeremiah Chirau of Zvimba, were accorded national hero status.
Remember Rev Sithole owned Porta Farm located 25km outside Harare along the Bulawayo Road. Mugabe, stripped Sithole of any recognition by confiscating the farm alleging that it harboured squatters. Of interest since Murambatsvina in 2005, all the way through to Chiadzwa and murderous white farmer evictions what exactly is the difference in how Zimbabweans today are settled. One can safely argue that most resettlements are basically squatter set ups with no legitimacy just vote buying by Mugabe hence the hap hazard set up. Mugabe has lawlessly done the same style like Sithole to resettle many people yet its ok by him,..how strange!
He authored five books namely African Nationalism (1959), The Polygamist (1972), Roots of a Revolution: Scenes from Zimbabwe’s Struggle (1977) Umvukela wamaNdebele (1982) and Hammer and Sickle over Africa (1991) which together with his political contribution in Africa could be the basis of his recognition in Accra.

While Zimbabweans are continuously brainwashed over the importance of Mugabe, who blocked all recognition of Sithole so that his legacy can be elevated, the late Zimbabwe African Union (Zanu) founder, Methodist Reverend Ndabaningi Sithole, recently honoured Sithole in Accra, Ghana, by naming a street after him. Its time Zimbabweans focus on deleting all the false legacy created around a common thief of peoples wealth, the monopoliser of wealth and power, despot, oppressor Mugabe, Zim 1 family, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats.

We need to look far ahead and aim to swiftly change, airport, univesities, dams, schools, roads and other places named after Mugabe, the sooner that is destroyed, the sooner he is forgotten even though the pain and suffering inflicted upon the masses through gukurahundi, murambatsvina, chiadzwa, 2008 political violence, rise of Grace Mugabe from a21 year old married secretary who bedded the president (67) and gave birth to his children while his ex wife First lady Sally Mugabe was on her death bed on kidney dialysis.
