CLIMATE CHANGE PROTEST: SHEFFIELD WAS brought to a standstill by children lobbying for the government and people’s attention to the destruction of the climate, loss of a future and more, because of the ‘nobody cares, not my problem, business and profits culture in today’s world.

Today, I enjoyed and participated in full support of these children, who brought all transport includingSheffield public transport and cars to a halt for some time as they marched through the city, bringing the climate change issue to everyone’s attention and global warming.

This is a crisis and everyone needs to come on board and fight climate change now, as there is no time to delay. Ice is melting, sea levels are rising, floods are now freequent, rain forest is being destroyed, animal habitats and animals are being destroyed, cities are being decommissioned because of a rise in sea levels.

These children are right to shake up adults about the reality that if nothing is done now, they have no future to look forward to.

It is time for everyone to sit up at attention and play their part in this urgent global issue, including refusing to use some of the biggest contributors to climate change and global warming vehicles such as buses and public transport that still uses petrol and diesel engines instead of non polluting electric vehicles or engines.

A good way of making their voices heard is for children to make this protest more frequent, always on a week day so that they hit tpolluting public transport and goods businesses and the recipients of their deliveries such as shops and the public at home,

When these major contributors to global warming are hit hard in the pocket and business drives to a halt as customers abandon polluters and opt for alternative non polluting businesses, walking, cycling, force council authorities to deny any non electric public transport permits or the right to operate business in their city and teachers becaome concerned by

children’s organuised weekly absentism from class to join in the protests, government is forced to design policies and laws in support of protecting the children’s future, such as raising car taxes to pullutant vehicles, banning pollutant vehicles especially buses from the city, heavily taxing all petrol and diesel vehicles including taxes who operate within the city limits, we will begin to see change.

We have no time to waste and tthere is no negotiation on people’s health, future and the climate as the planet doesnt belong to anyone, so we all have a responsibility to protect it. Businesses must be leading in investing in climate change issues, protectin g the climate, reforestation, growing more trees, creation of green spaces for communities.

The public must realise that, we need to lobby, the offending companies, name and shame the businesses their operators, management, sister companies, reach out to their local and global business offices, including Human Resources, Corporate departments, Publicity departments,

government, TV, newspapers, social media including whatsapp, linked in, messenger, facebook, twitter and more. Climate change is real and pending and there is no way the people can be silenced. Government must take the ;lead in this matter through designing and implementing policies that will bring change, shaping development and the future.
At all levels, starting from the business directorship, the whole system must be crashed by being heavily penalised for the breaches and forced to pay massive fines and contributions towards the very damage they have played a part in causing and in this case it means such things as contributing to the health care budget because the pollution they cause, destroys people’s health, shortens people’s lives, pollutes buildings, walls, and causes breathing difficulties among a whole endless list of dmage they inflict, therefore when hit hard in the pocket, systems will be forced to either shut down and move out of the destructive businesses or change their style of operation, in order to not only meet but better their social responsibilities. its time the public used their people power to shake up the rotten business systems to the core, change or you go,..its either the offending businesses fall or we die from climate change,..I don’t think so, the people have the power to bring change,…end of story!

If a leader is either in denial of climate change or fails to regrd this matter with the seriousness that it deserves, they should automatically expect to fall as the public awakens to the reality of the damage that is happening to the climate and planet and all our future, especially the children, innocent victims of the greed that is legitimised by the same governemnets
