‘Short Fused Grace Is Too Dangerous, If State Machinery Is Left At Her Disposal’-Mliswa

Ousted Zanu-PF chair for Mashonaland West Temba Mliswa told South African television news channel, ANN7TV Wednesday evening that President Robert Mugabe’s short-fused wife, Grace, was too dangerous if state machinery was left at her mercy.

“The war veterans of Zimbabwe must stand up now and stop Grace so that this confusion and commotion won’t prevail,” said the axed Zanu-PF Hurungwe West MP.

“Look she is already causing chaos running the government and Zanu-PF; I mean she appoints and fires Ministers, she just has to be stopped now.”

Since her surprise entry into mainstream politics last year, the Zanu-PF women’s league boss has been the proverbial bull in a China shop, presiding over the summary sacking of top government and party officials.

President Mugabe’s wife all but confirmed she was firming up for the country’s most powerful job, scornfully telling critics at a rally in Rushinga last week there was nothing amiss with her parcelling out government sourced farming equipment to woo potential voters.

Mliswa, who ironically formed Grace’s entourage during her first round of provincial rallies last year, vowed he would also challenge for presidency 2018 if Grace became Zanu-PF candidate.

“To be honest with you if the first lady decides to run for 2018, I will also run to contest for presidency. Quite honestly, I will better candidate than her; I have a better political history than her,” Mliswa said.Source: ANN7
