The South African dancer Zodwa Wabantu has given a clear description of the events that led to Mugabe’s nephew Patrick Zhuwawo and Annie Nhira generating the drama that led to her being blocked from performing in Zimbabwe. She called a spade a spade by saying ‘Zimbabwe cancelled my show. The whole country was fighting over my panties but still, I love you Zimbabwe!’

I say, when a people cannot afford simple panties, should we really be bothered about those who choose to walk without panties on? The fact that she is making a video, and proudly and rightly announcing that Zimbabweans were fighting over her panties, is evidence of what a farce this has all become. …panties,..really?
