‘The Empty Rufaro Stadium Is Solid Proof That ‘Mnangagwa Is An Unelectable, Dispensable’ Zanu PF Stalwart

Zanu-PF’s ambitious Young Turks, the Generation 40 (G40)   opposed to Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa succeeding Mugabe argue that Ngwena (Mnangagwa) is unelectable, as evidenced by the absence of people from an empty Rufaro Stadium during his worker’s day speech.

Traditionally, it is unheard of, to hear of such a senior Zanu PF stalwart addressing an empty stadium, as people are coerced into attending.

Mnangagwa’s support base in Midlands are of the strong opinion that this is an open attempt by the opposing Zanu PF faction  to sabotage Mnangagwa’s rise or potential to succeed Mugabe.

To the Discerning Eye, the obvious lack of support for Mnangagwa is proof that the majority of Zanu PF rallies only appear to have full grassroots support because so called supporters are bused in from all over the country to make up the numbers hence  Didymus Mutasa’s  stance about Mnangagwa being  “simply unelectable”.

At a time when Mugabe’s ability to be in place for the 2018 ballot, this is a major statement which will certainly create more tension in the broken up Zanu PF as officials jostle for positions and line up to replace Mnangagwa and succeed Mugabe, in the event of the unexpected happening.
It is with no doubt that Mnangagwa’s fairy tale rise has  now come to an end. The only way that Mnangagwa can salvage his lost credibility is to do what he is best known for, victimise and ruthlessly eliminate opposing forces as  he did to Joshua Nkomo’s Zapu in the early 80s  through the Gukurahundi Massacre in which he oversaw the murder of at least 20 000 unarmed Ndebele people of Matebeleland and Midlands.
He should by now have recognised that this lack of support means he is to Mugabe, unelectable and  as dispensable as all eliminated individuals such as Zanu PF stalwarts, activists and victims of Zanu PF violence such as gukurahundi, murambatsvina, chiadzwa, farm evictions and 2008 elections.
This is the moment that , in order to save his life, he must destabilise Mugabe’s regime by spilling the beans about all crimes against humanity by Mugabe and his Zanu PF. Only Mnangagwa can accurately articulate all horrors inflicted by Mugabe, upon the masses over the last 36 years because he was party to the crimes.
However,  if he can expose all and negotiate a safety deal, which leaves him a free man, while sending Mugabe and other Zanu PF stalwarts to be tried before the ICC at the Hague, the Zimbabwean public and international community  may eventually warm up to him but,  Mugabe and his stalwarts may also realise soon that silencing Mnangagwa is the best way forward.
Today we are all here, but no doubt, both sides don’t intend to all see the end alive, therefore time is of essence for all sides and the winning team is one that will strike first and crush the other, for ever.
For Zimbabwe to move forward, Mugabe, Mnangagwa, Zim1 family, securocrats  and all their Zanu PF must go! Sibusiso Ngwenya.
