‘The Power Of Security Forces And The East Over Zimbabwe,..Courtesy Mugabe And Zanu PF!’
Mugabe and his Zanu PF do not hold a monopoly on truth and therefore can never silence people, no matter how long they oppress the people of Zimbabwe. That said, I will always pitch up absolute defiance to oppressive authority by speaking out and reaching out as far across the globe as I can with the truth about what is happening in the motherland.
The despot Mugabe’s regime could silence the voice of democracy in the past, using anti western propaganda channelled through state media and Zanu PF stalwarts who force fed the gullible public with false hoods.
The people of Matebeleland feel vindicated about their accusation of Mugabe over the gukurahundi campaign of violence in which his tribalist and brutal fifth Brigade unleashed an unprecedented wave of violence and murder upon innocent unarmed Ndebele civillians of Matebeleland and Midlands provinces, slaughtering more than 20 000 people.
This has come to light after numerous , recently declassified documents implicating the despot, Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe in the mass butchering of Ndebele people in Matebeleland were released.
It is clear from the documents that General Constantine Chiwenga who was the then head of First Brigade unit, based in Bulawayo the second largest city of Zimbabwe, played a pivotal role in the slaughter of Matebeleland civillians.
Chiwenga’s unit was key in the genocide by providing necessary practical assistance to the brutal Fifth Brigade , while at the same time as a take off base from which Matebeleland attacks on civillians were launched from.
Because Gen Constantine Chiwenga’s First Brigade was based in Bulawayo, it sat at the capital of the operation zone and therefore it made tactical sense to launch the brutal Fifth Brigade’s unrelenting wave of violence right from the heart of the ‘enemy’ the unarmed civillians of Matebeleland
Mugabe’s weapon of mass destruction, the ‘Fifth Brigade’ was led by Mugabe’s nephew, the Fifth Brigade commander Perence Shiri had a clear role in the genocide, with logistical support, launch base and all necessary on the ground logistical support for the swift and successful excecution of the onslaught against Matebeleland
The ‘two millitary geniuses’ who ensured the sucessfull slaughter of Ndebele people in Matebeleland and Midlands were richly rewarded by the then Prime Minister and now Executive President of Zimbabwe, the despot ‘Robert Gabriel Mugabe’ which is why Gen Constantine Chiwenga is now chief of Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) while Mugabe’s nephew, Perence Shiri is now the Air Force Commander of Zimbabwe. The two are key players whenever Mugabe needs to establish unquestioned control over people wealth and power.
Emmerson Mnangagwa was made Vice president Of Zimbabwe along with Zimbabwe’s second vice President, Phelekezela Mphoko a man who is known to have been placed in that position as a way of silencing the traditionally united and defiant Matebeleland people by giving them a false belief of inclusion and swaying their support in favour of Mugabe and his Zanu PF.
It comes as no surprise that Phelekezela Mphoko has been well rewarded for his unrelenting efforts in brainwashing the people of Zimbabwe, particularly the people of Matebeleland and he is now said to be one of the biggest share holders in the fast growing choppies business nationwide, typical of Zanu PF’s influence and monopoly over wealth and power, where, for one to successfully make it in business, they have to be in Zanu PF, related to Zim1 family or well connected to Mugabe, Zanu PF stalwarts or securocrats. Phelekezela Mphoko,..ak.a. ‘Mboko’ fits all requirements beyond the minimum requirements.
This why, along with all this unprecedented breakthrough he has also managed to spend a year since his December 2014 appointment living an affluent life style in the Rainbow Towers hotel in Harare at a cost well into a quarter of a million US$$$$s from state funds. The luxurious Rainbow Towers Hotel is on record as having, in the past hosted important International and regional conferences such as in the 1986 eighth conference of the Non Aligned Movement (NAM), the 1991 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) South Africa’s former president, Nelson Mandela, former US President Jimmy Carter , and Queen Elizabeth II and most recently the Chinese President Xi Jinping .
The amount of money wasted by Zimbabwe’s president on such a luxurious Hotel place of residence for its second vice president Phelekezela Mphoko for a full year could have easily been channelled towards the rebuilding of Zimbabwe’s collapsed Service Delivery in Health care, Education, Housing, Roads, Water and Electricity supply thereby benefiting millions of people, yet Mugabe’s heartless Zanu PF regime and vice president Phelekezela Mphoko were only too happy to waste it on one person’s hotel bills.
Its interesting that Matebeleland leaders are simply reliving a past experience witnessed in Jonathan Moyos rise from one of the most powerful voices against Mugabe and his Zanu PF in the 80’s, suddenly turned around and is now the reason why Zimbabweans suffer under Mugabe because Jonathan Moyo can actually be looked at as a man who successfully breathed life back into adying Zanu PF and launched Mugabe back from political dustins into a life time presidency post and a living night mare for democratic Zimbabweans.
Cabinet Minister Jonathan Moyo single handedly crashed Zimbabweans hope of freedom from oppression. Obert Mpofu another Matebeleland figure, previously the minister of mines at the height of the diamond rush in Marange, is now a filthy rich Zanu PF stalwart and actually considered one of the richest men in Zimbabwe for his work in uplifting Zanu PF and its opression.
This is the architect of Zimbabwe’s countless toll roads, a cash cow used by the filthy rich Zanu PF criminals to further build up their ill gotten wealth. Mugabe has mastered the art of grabbing the influential figures from Matebeleland, handsomely rewarding them for their ‘deceit’ and effectively dampening defiance from the region.
The late Enos Nkala another Matebeleland figure and the very man in whose house , Mugabe’s Zanu was born, in early 60s, was a key player in the gukurahundi genocide who unfortunately fell off the gravy train and subsequently died before the real wave of looting sprees broke out hence dying a sell out to the people and a pauper at the same time.
One can safely say, for Matebeleland figures who have so far made a name, they have had to sell out the people of Matebeleland as in all or sell out the nation as a whole , as in the case of Jonathan Moyo, who successfully crashed the voice of democracy with hi draconian AIPPA and POSA laws, which caused the collapse of independant Media, closed off access to the rural areas (Zanu PF’s power house) for activists and journalists who faced, persecution, arbitrary arrests, torture, murder and forced exile, whilst leaving the play field unchallenged for Mugabe’s propaganda machinery such as ZBC and ZTV.
Obviously,singing for his supper, the Zanu PF stalwart, who is well known to have also been a senior member of the brutal Central intelligence Oragnisation (CIO) from independance, now richly rewarded as Zimbabwe’s Second Vice-President Phelekezela Mphoko even went as far as making one of the wildest and most foolish public claims that the Matabeleland massacres were a “conspiracy of the West” and that Mugabe had nothing to do with them.
With what Sydney Sekeramayi knew back then and the extent of his involvement, it comes as no surprise then, why, Mugabe made him Zimbabwe’s Minister of defence. Vice president Phelekezela Mphoko, Vice President Mnangagwa, Defence Minister Sidney Sekeramayi , Airforce Commander Perence Shiri and Gen Constantine Chiwenga will always be close allies of Mugabe and fight to last tooth and nail to protect Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts and securocrats monopoly over wealth and power as they all live in fear of the pending reality of being all hauled before the International Criminal Courts of Law (ICC) at the Hague to face prosecution for their crimes against humanity.
Lest we forget, at one time the then rich Marange diamond fields had at least 30, 000 illegal miners operating there. Mugabe ordered a crack down in which illegal miners were shot from two helicopter gunships in broad daylight . The butchering, was immediately followed up by soldiers on foot with dogs, moving through the diamond fields and shooting and killing survivors.
At least 140 miners died in the on that fateful day. The use of two helicopter gunships and soldiers on the ground could not have been conducted without Mugabe’s express orders, whilst the Airforce commander, Mugabe’s nephew Perence Shri would have been the man authorising the use of the two helicopter gunships in excecuting the orders of Mugabe’s mission.
Gen Constantine Chiwenga was well involved as his soldiers followed up the airforce gunship helicopter operation on foot, shooting and killing illegal miners in an exercise that established full millitary control of the rich diamond fields in Marangwe.
The same brutal military forces have always been used by Mugabe to oppress the people of Zimbabwe at every election, coming to ahead particularly in the 2008 election violence in which MDC T opposition and the people of Zimbabwe were massacred by Mugabe’s army .
Its not rocket science that Mugabe and Chiwenga would have known and authorised the murderous campaigns of election violence by the Zimbabwe National Army that culminated in MDC T leader Richard Morgan Tsvangirai fleeing the country for his own safety.
Today the gullible people of Zimbabwe sit and celebrate China’s involvement in Zimbabwe and happily watch and congratulate Mugabe as he signs off Zimbabwe’s wealth, hectacre after hectare of land, businesses, and mines to the Chinese, in deals that mortgage off our children’s legacy to the Chinese in a trade off that involved forcibly evicting western influence and enforcing eastern colonisation….really?
Lest we forget, the best news for all Zimbabweans in 2008 election violence , was the announcement by Beijing that the Chinese Ship An Yue Jiang had failed to fulfil its contract of delivering a consignment destined for Zimbabwe, to South Africa’s Shipping Ports and was returning to China, laden with its load.
What most uninformed Zanu PF apologist supporters didn’t know back then at that point in time, was that the Chinese Ship An Yue Jiang had been trying to deliver a consignment of weapons which was made up of 77 tons of arms , bullets, mortar bombs, grenades and assault rifles for the brutal Robert Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime.
However because of the horrendous violence and brutal onslaught by Mugabe against the people of Zimbabwe and world focus on the saga things worked in favour of the people. South Africa’s government chose not to involve itself in the saga , in their view, a business arrangement bewteen China and Zimbabwe, whilst Durban port workers elected to distance themselves from unloading the consignment, fearing that Mugabe would use the weapons as intended to butcher the defiant opposition and people of Zimbabwe and stop Tsvangirai from attempting to take over power and walk into state house since he had won the 2008 elections but Mugabe was not prepared to step down.
The Chinese Ship An Yue Jiang, also dubbed “the ship of shame” sailed around the coast of Africa in a futile attempt to off load the weapons consignment at other Africa Nations ports but with major International Security Agencies and international media attention as the Global security forces followed the ship by planes and helicopters , no one wanted to involve themselves in aiding such a murderous regime receive weapons, especially considering that the world had been slow to act when Mugabe unleashed the fifth Brigade upon the people of Matebeleland in the early 80s.
They all knew now that the despot president Robert Mugabe was not going to step down without a fight and the Movement For democratic Change (MDC T) leader Richard Morgan Tsvangirai, could only walk into Zimbabwe’s state house ‘over Mugabe’s dead body’.
Even though after South Africa’s Port Workers refused to offload the weapons consignment, the Ship attempted to sail around the coast of Africa and off load the weapons in Namibia, Mozambique, and Angola who all denied the Chinese Ship An Yue Jiang, permission to dock in their ports.
It is at this point that the Chinese regime accepted defeat in the saga and Jiang Yu, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman acknowledged that the Ship An Yue Jiang had turned around and sailed off , back to China with its deadly weapons load.
While South Africa’s government and the United Nations had left Zimbabweans hanging on the verge of massacre, the port workers had registered a people’s victory through their defiant stance of refusal to offload the weapons, leaving a brutal Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime with less weapons to use its bloody onslaught upon Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC T opposition supporters.
The people of Zimbabwe do not realise how close Mugabe was to butchering thousands in 2008 with the help of the Chinese but to the discerning eye,its obvious why Mugabe has mortgaged the nation’s wealth and resources off to the Chinese who now own every corner of Zimbabwe’s wealth which include mines and businesses.
Mugabe’s Zanu PF deliberately created an entropy which only benefited the Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts and securocrats who are now all filthy rich multimillionaires and waiting for the any attempt to unseat Mugabe in which they will flex their muscle. These heartless and murderous regime is now well backed by China and together, they will not let Zimbabwe ever fall into the hands of the democratic opposition forces who are well known to be funded by the west.
China and Mugabe’s Zanu PF, who are strongly against western domination, will never accept western domination and so, people can forget about winning the motherland back from the corrupt filthy rich multimillionaire Mugabe and his Zanu PF regime as the combination have not come all this way to simply hand over power on asilver platter to Zimbabweans. Lest we forget, Zanu’s military wing was Zimbabwe African Libertaion Army (ZANLA), which whose commanders were taken to china for training during the armed struggle for independance. China supplied weapons and logistical backing to ZANLA in that war, thereby explaining why they are so closely linked to Mugabe’s Zanu PF violence along with their monopoly over wealth and power.
The enormous international debt that Mugabe has signed the Zimbabwean nation up to with the Chinese government may never actually be repaid in our lifetime. Zimbabweans only succeeded in forcing the west out but are fully colonised in mordern fashion by the Chinese, the biggest international players in Marange who built Zimbabwe’s then largest airport in Marange diamond fields for exporting minerals and bringing in weapons for Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime with no accountability.
With such a back ground, lets be realistic about what we face in the future. We currently have a heavily broken up democratic opposition force, in house fights amongst the opposition, no electronic voters roll and no Electoral Reforms yet the opposition talk of participating in the 2018 general election.
Surely if the Zimbabwean nation are serious, its time we realise that, Zimbabwe’s crisis emanates from the fact that opposition forces have limited options in unseating the brutal despot president Robert Mugabe from power because of the ‘Democratic ideologies’ to which they are signed up to.
A democracy is not necessarily brought by democracy as other options can be employed in the process, which is why other people would argue that there are thousands of options ranging from ‘Bullet to Balllot ‘ in establishing a democracy.
Zimbabweans have tried the ballot countless times and have been robbed of the vote by Mugabe at each and evr ballot ever since the 1980 general election which secured indepndance from the west, ‘Britain’.
Who in his or her right frame of mind seriously believe that the same opposition who enjoyed regular Monday morning tea parties, wined and dined with Mugabe throughout a fife year term in a Government of National Unity (GNU), yet failed to implement even a single electoral reform from those signed up to by Mugabe and opposition principals with the help of South Africa’s then president, Thabo Mbeki, can address the disaster of the past?
Can the same people who ignored warnings from Southern African Development Community (SADC) not to participate in the 31/07/2013 general election without the establishment of ‘Electoral Reforms’ yet chose to ignore such stark warnings about impending defeat, only to lose in a most embarrassing defeat by Mugabe and his Zanu PF would, deliver the finishing blow to Mugabe.
The problem with Zimbabwe is that politics is a domain, dominated by ‘stomach politics’ and the filthy rich multimillionaire criminal Zanu PF regime have the upper hand as opposition are dead broke, whilst our other challenge is that politics is now a business, in that whether you are in the ruling party or opposition, as long as you have a foot hold on the looting gravy train, it does not matter whether Mugabe and his Zanu PF go or not because your pockets are well lined with funding from both the Zanu PF regime as per the national constitution and international donors,…why care about the destitute ordinary person? Logic then dictates that the nation need to seriously think about the consequences of not taking any immediate action and sitting back with a clueless bunch of opposition all round.
Sometimes its right to say that ‘Rising up once and for all in absolute defiance to oppressive authority and dying once and for all’ is better than ‘ Sitting Back and being the walking dead’..Zimbabweas,..you do the maths!
Faced with the scenario that even though Zanu PF is at its weakest due to deadly factionalism, Mugabe’s advanced age, Grace Mugabe’s dangerous power games, a collapsed service Delivery in Housing, Electricity, Water, Roads and 90 % unemployment can we afford to sit back and wait to escort Mugabe and his Zanu PF to yet another real and possibile sweep to victory again in 2018?
Wake up Zimbabwe! What steps are we taking towards establishing a democracy through employing the logical advice that there are thousands of options ranging from ‘Bullet to Balllot ‘ in establishing a democracy?
Mugabe, his brutal security forces which include the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) , Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), Zanu PF Militias and Mugabe’s ‘Look East Policy’ are all clearly a major liability to Zimbabwe’s progress.
The nation cannot move forward to a state of normalcy where we can all equally enjoy Democracy, Peace, Equality, Prosperity, and Justice for all tribes, race, religion, creed or political orientation with these forces in place , yet removing them, is no walk in the park.
The true state of liberation for the ordinary Zimbabwean will almost certainly come with a lot of , suffering, pain, and death once we commit ourselves to it. The filthy rich multimillionaire Mugabe, his Zanu PF stalwarts , Zim1 family and securocrats will not step down without a fight because of the risks involved.
Mugabe and his Zanu PF regime and security forces as outlined above, cannot take, losing wealth and power such as the mines, multiple farms , businesses and their stashed millions to the ordinary person lightly. They have a lot to lose including their freedom in their final years of life, if successfuled hauled before the Hague for prosecution This is why the Chinese government is a fall back plan in case of the inevitable.
Zimbabwe cannot effectively catch up with mordern times and engage with the west or global village for economic prosperity with Mugabe , his Zanu PF in power and outside forces standby security measures in place.
Its so sad how divided we are as a people of Zimbabwe and lack empathy with the suffering of our kith and kin in Zimbabwe. We are all different race, colour, tribes, religion, creed and political orientation but we must never forget that we have a common enemy, that which stands in the way of justice, peace, unity, equality and prosperity for all. That common enemy to all these virtues of democracy in the motherland is Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts and securocrats. As long as we are divided, lack unity of purpose and fail to unite in a formidable force that is capable of unseating Mugabe and his Zanu PF in 2018, Zanu PF will rule for ever!
We have tried the ballot over and over again and have repeatedly lost to Mugabe and his Zanu PF rigging machinery. We need credible plans way ahead, right now from opposition and should probably realise that the opposition in place whether big or small is not necessarily the answer or only way of unseating Mugabe.
