Two Daring Thieves Steal Marondera Provincial Magistrate’s Bed

MARONDERA: Two daring thieves have been arrested in connection with stealing a bed from a local provincial magistrate.

The bed and other household property worth thousands of dollars were stolen from Marondera provincial magistrate, Milton Serima.

Everything has since been recovered.

Mashonaland East provincial spokesperson, Norbert Muzondo, confirmed the arrest of James Chihwayi, 28, and Egypt Masewe, 40, both of Nyameni.

According to Muzondo, the two men face five charges of unlawful entry and are expected to appear in court this week.

Chihwayi and Masewe are said to have been robbing household properties in Ruzawi, Nyameni and source-newzimbabwe and were arrested following a tip-off.

Muzondo said the arrest of the two would help the police in solving a number of housebreaking reports that have recently been reported in Marondera and surrounding areas.

Among the stolen property that was recovered by the police are blankets, water pumps, generators and solar panels. source-newzimbabwe
