UN VOULE ,an independent human rights expert, to meet Mnangagwa

UN SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR CLEMENT NYALETSOSSI VOULE IS IN ZIMBABWE TO MEET President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He is an independent human rights expert, appointed by the Human Rights Council, who, will, over ten days meet Zimbabwe, government officials, representatives of the Judiciary, Legislature, independent institutions and civil society and members of the international community including UN official

It is a democratic right to exercise our rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association, so, using peaceful protest, this is an ideal time, irrespective of your tribe, race, religion, opposition party, gender or status, for the people to unite and escalate global attention to the Zimbabwe crisis, as this is the first official visit by an independent human rights expert, appointed by the Human Rights Council, to Zimbabwe, a prominent global situation.

The deposed former president, despot Robert Mugabe is dead (RIP) but we the living, must unite and move the nation forward by dismantling the last vestiges of the traditionally blood thirsty, violent, draconian, oppressive militarised Zanu pf regime.

We have leverage over this matter as, since January 2019, at least 50 people have been abducted in Zimbabwe by Zanu pf and the latest is a youthful Dr Peter Magombeyi who was abducted on Saturday at his home by unknown assailants.

The exiled Professor Jonathan Moyo , a man who was key to Mugabe’s stronghold and more informed than any of Mugabe’s henchmen about the machinations in place, has admitted that the Zimbabwe Zanu pf militarised regime, has an undercover group, virtually unknown, technically non existent, yet very efficient in the abduction of citizens and some operations done by the security forces in Zimbabwe. The group which specialises in these disappearances is called Ferret, and we thought CIO was at the helm of dissappearances in Zimbabwe!

Ferret is said to be a joint team of security forces in Zimbabwe, which acccording to Jonathan Moyo, is “The Third Force in Rhodesia, Zimbabwe since the extended Rhodesian State of Emergency during gukurahundi and in apartheid South Africa has always been a rogue unit of state security agents doing pseudo operations, such as abductions. In South Africa it was DCC, in Zimbabwe it’s FERRET!”

“They have become a law unto themselves. They are a combined JOC team!”. “It’s rogue by design, to deal with enemies of the State, the Zanu pf party and the Zimbabwe President!”

To the discerning eye wwwnewzimbabwevision, this is a chilling revelation as it explains unaccounted for disapperances including Rashiwe Guha in the 1990s, Itai Dzamara and many other missing activists and opposition members. The UN Special Rapporteur Clément Nyaletsossi Voule’s presence is a time for us the oppressed people to escalate global attention to the crisis in Zimbabwe, through mass peaceful protests, toos down, sit ins, walk outs, flood the streets carry posters of missing people, stick them to buses, kombis, cars, community places and draw attention to the suffering of the people of Zimbabwe.

The people have the power to force change for the better, by calling for an escalation of travel and economic sanctions upon key members of the militarised Mnangagwa Zanu pf regime and cartels who are causing mass suffering to us all. Zimbabweans world wide, especially the millions in forced exile must hold high profile protests at their local Zimbabwe embassies in each country while the UN Special Rapporteur Clément Nyaletsossi Voule is in place.

This is the ten days that can change the lives of the people for the better and it calls for everyone to realise that irrespective of all our differences, we share a common enemy to the people’s progress, peace, democracy, economic success and development, and that is Mnangagwa’s militarised Zanu pf regime, clearly employing the draconian FERRET to do its dirty work while pretending to be a caring government. Clearly, this is the moment we all need to act and what better time to protest enmasse and ramp up the pressure against the Mnangagwa regime than now, while Mugabe’s body lies in the mortuary for thirty days while awaiting the completion of his mausoleum.

Mugabe’s death and delayed burial is also helping to escalate the crisis in Zimbabwe and we must never lose this leverage because this is key to dismantling the militarised Zanu pf Mnangagwa led regime. If they cannot travel, cannot trade with other nations and are starved of any access to funding or loans by IMF and International donors and Investors, the military whose rank and file members are equally part of the suffering, will be with the people in removing Mnangagwa and see the light in returning the country to democratic people power, for the nation to move forward.

Lets hope electricity will be in constant supply to the mortuary because , if not, that would certainly be a disaster,as if its not bad enough for the deposed former president to have died living in another country upset and in fear of Mnangagwa and his own baby the Zanu pf party, the mother of all suffering by Zimbabwe. We called for the removal of Mugabe all these years but always made it clear that removing Mugabe only, is useless as the system must be fully dismantled from the top man Mugabe down to the most basic structure at rural herdman level.

Yesterday, Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya issued an administrative warrant against MDC chairperson Thabitha Khumalo (58) who failed to turn up in court yesterday.
Khumalo is accused of stating factual information, which we have repeatedly published and distributed both across Zimbabwe and globally in the diaspora, which according to the state charge, is publishing or communicating false statements prejudicial to the State and accusing President Emmerson Mnangangwa of stealing the July 2018 elections.

MDC chairperson Thabitha Khumalo (58) is accused of this along with senator Helen Zivira Mpofu (44), Shelton Tembo (35), Tendai Masotsha (45), Elliot Mujeri (34), Tinashe Matimbura (28) and Meliqiniso Sithole (42) , but the MDC chairperson Thabitha Khumalo did not turn up.

The case was remanded to 4 October 2019 and the seven accused are out of custody on $200 bail.

The accused persons, are accused by the state of acting in common purpose, across Bulawayo’s Tshabalala and Nkulumane, surburbs and distributing fliers addressed to all Zimbabweans, titled Free Zimbabwe campaign on17 August 2019 which the militarised Mnangagwa Zanu pf regime allege that they falsely asserted that the 2018 harmonised elections were stolen.

The police charged the accused with contravening section 31 (b) (ii) (A) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act which speaks to “publishing or communicating false statements prejudicial to the State that (ii) he or she does not have reasonable grounds for believing to be true”. Suffice it is to say, that replacing Mugabe with his clone Mnangagwa who had been his right hand man for over 50 years was a fruitless exercise,..NO CHANGE! DISCUSS! Sibusiso Ngwenya
