UPDATE:-The elusive Zimbabwe civil servants bonus for the year 2016:
THE Zimbabwe Government has offered civil servants cash along with non-monetary benefits, residential stands and property investment bonds as payment options for 2016 bonuses . All options on offer were rejected by workers’ representatives. A meeting is scheduled for February 20 over bonuses.
The DISCERNING eye newzimbabwevision says this may be the best way of forcing the government to finally give dates of payment and issue the bonuses in full cash, considering that February 21st is the despot Robert Mugabe 94th Birthday. Mugabe, Zanu pf regime, Zim 1 family, and securocrats can all certainly do with pacifying an agitated civil servant force and the people of Zimbabwe as a whole as a way of avoiding negative local and international publicity about failed bonuses while splashing out millions on the President’s 94th birthday in Matopos National park, interestingly the heart of the brutal early 80s gukurahundi genocide.
At least 20,000 Ndebeles from Matebeleland and Midlands were butchered during those dark years by the tribalist fifth brigade under Mugabe’s nephew Perence Shiri, then the commander of the Fifth Brigade, which had been trained by North Korea . Shiri is the Airforce of Zimbabwe. While Mugabe, will be enjoying his Matopos birthday bash, just a short distance away there are many unidentified graves, mass graves, and unidentified bodies of innocent Ndebele victims of gukurahundi which were dumped in mines, wells and other pits by the brutal fifth brigade.
The Zimbabwe National Army commander Chiwenga, then the commander of 1 Brigade at Llewelin barracks in Bulawayo, was a key instrument in gukurahundi as Matebeleland gukurahundi raids were briefed on local reconnaisance and launched their ruthless raids from Llewelin barracks. The truth, is that, on this one the people of Matebeleland , who have so far not received any explanation as to what happened, why, who were responsible, or received any apology or compensation and have not sen any attempts at pacifying victim families and survivors, or reconcilliation, uniting and moving the people and the nation as one, forward for a better future for our children and descendants.
It is no secret that the despot and his gukurahundi lieutenants monopolise power in fear of arrest and prosecution over the human attrocities they inflicted upon innocent Ndebele’s during gukurahundi. This time, the Ndebeles have been shafted both front and back by 94 year old despot Mugabe who will be , waving, not the traditional Zanu pf fist but rather giving the one finger salute, saying what are you going to do? While at the same time laughing all the way to the grave..and saying Im the president,..I’m out!
