VICE PRESIDENT MOHADI, ANOTHER MATEBELELAND LEADER JOINS the picture that is building up here with respect to Matebeleland leaders allegedly selling out their own.

Is it just me or does everyone else who sees the picture that is building up here with respect to Matebeleland leaders allegedly selling out their own. Its amazing how when you look at it you realise, Matebeleland generally a united, militant region are an important part of the political narrative in Zimbabwe.

Vice President Kembo Mohadi has joined the trend of ‘selling out his people’ by declaring that the Ndebele King coronation is divisive and unconstitutional and the intended move is divisive and unconstitutional as Zimbabwe does not need to go back to the era of monarchs.

Vice President Kembo Mohadi, the National Peace and Reconciliation Minister, after the Bulawayo High Court judge Justice Martin Makonese declared that the intended coronation of a Ndebele King planned for the 3rd of March 2018 at Bulawayo’s Barbourfields Stadium ,was illegal, went on to say those who wanted to push for such positions like a coronation should have done so during the constitution making process.

Mohadi went on to personally donate US$10 000 during the fundraising dinner

Bulelani Khumalo is a descendant of Lobengula. Lobengula (1845–1894) is the second and last king of the Northern Ndebele people

Lobengula, is the son of Mzilikazi “the great road” (1790 – 9 September 1868) who was the son of Matshobana. Mzilikazi fled Tshaka from Zululand, originally to Mozambique then to Transavaal where he conqured those living there then he eventually fled, conquering and other tribes by taking their women and assimilating the strong youth into his military on his journey to Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, formerly the British South Africa Company ruled Rhodesia where Mzilikazi founded the Matabele Kingdom (khumalo).Image may contain: 1 person

At one point Mzilikazi was lost from his tribe while wondering around, and his chiefs assumed he had died, so they installed his son Nkulumane in his place and he eventually found his way to his people, where he swiftly reestablished his authority by excecuting the chiefs behind his son’s coronation. He exceuted 12 chiefs who were exceuted by throwing them off the hill known as Ntabazinduna ( Hill of the Chiefs) and allegedly killed his own son Nkulumane for replacing him while stil alive.

Mzilikazi then made his capital 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Ntabazinduna and named it ko-Bulawayo (place of slaughter). King Tshaka’s capital in South Africa was also called Bulawayo.

Lobengula (Khumalo) as many people commonly joke is that he traded Zimbabwe’s land and minerals for a bag of sugar with colonialist Cecil John Rhodes and since then, apart from Matebele wars, gukurahundi and other issues relating to Matebeleland wrong turns in decision making, have not only cost Matebeland but the nation as a whole

Before I dwell on the other Matebeleland leaders and their ‘selling out’ their own people by settling for issues that are either silenced, never resolved or eventually turned around to appear like their own people are confused and clamouring for out of order issues.

Those in the know how and with the power to bring change, fail to do so and instead become the power house for the oppressor camp to silence the voice of the masses. Granted the Matebeleland region’s call is viewd by the government and majority as a non starter, but the truth is that no Senior government figure is there to assist the nation, unite and heal and by addressing the issues. It does not help to instill fear amongst the people and hope it will die away. The most logical way of handling it, is to draw the Matebeleland leaders, chiefs , political figures, Peace and Reconcilliation and church leaders, especially the Roman catholic church which took up the gukurahundi fight in the eigthies and brought the truth out to the world, all to a round table debate.

It does not mean that the government should concede to anything but pulling everyone together, allows the government to hear the people’s concerns and address them, clearly, marginalisation of a people and so many other issues, therefore as a government in place, its critical to address them and unite the people and move one nation forward, while allowing people to have their tradititions yet never having any constitutional powers as we need one government, one nation, one people and one constitution and law for everyone,…equality!

Remember Zapu was formed by Joshua Nkomo in the early sixties after NDP was banned by Smith, most of the Zanu pf senior stalwarts joined Zapu. These included the Zapu press secretary Robert Mugabe and others.

Zanu was formed in the sixties after many fled from Zapu and this occured at Enos Nkala’s house no 4449 Highfields Harare. After independance, Mugabe with the ‘blessing’ of the then Minister of home affairs Enos Mzombi Nkala butchered over 20,000 Ndebeles, attempted to murder Joshua Nkomo, and other crimes. Who remembers the famous words by Nkala who said that he was embarassed to be Ndebele and if there was a type of soap to wash off the Ndebele in him he would buy it. Enos Mzombi Nkala and Mugabe, Tekere and other Zanu pf stalwarts were there when Zanu was formed, and I’d hazard a guess and say the gukurahundi genocide was long planned back in the sixties by these guys this is why it was swift, ruthless and ‘technically, a non event’ which is why no one has ever been prosecuted for butchering over 20 thousand Ndebele’s from Matebeleland and Midlands. The 20,0000 Ndebeles were butchered by president Emmerson Mnangagwa, a Zapu member himself when he was in Zambia in the sixties.

One begins to wonder if the gukurahundi is not related to some debate, something that happened or was threatened in the sixties by Zapu, which sent panic into the mass defection by the Shona figures who regrouped at Independance and slaughtered 20,000 Ndebeles to ensure that whatever they knew or feared from the sixties, never materialised. Somebody, somewhere, somehow knows the truth as its strange that the Gukurahundi geneocide was done by powerful Zapu figures, Mugabe, Mnanagwa and Enos Nkala amongst many. Its not a mistake,…Zimbabweans need to know the truth as its not baout Matebeleland but about the Zimbabwe nation as people have now come to realise, its affecting everyone.

Some people would even say, Mugabe’s 37 year stay in power, was because he was leading antion of people who are naturally placid and peace loving as demonstrated in how they were subjugated by Mzilikazi when he fled from South Africa, and furthermore, its exactly why Zimbabweans peacefully removed Mugabe from power because the original inhabitants, who form the majority, are a non violent, peace loving and submissive people unlike their militant kith and kin in the southern region of Matebeleland, decsendants of Lobengula and Mzilikazi.

Conel Tshinga Dube is another Matebeleland leader who wined and dined with the enemy and reportedly did nothing for his people.
In a recent article from newsday by Silas Nkala, we were told that BULAWAYO pressure groups have sued former President Robert Mugabe, incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Vice-President Kembo Mohadi and British Premier Theresa May demanding release of the findings of the Chihambakwe Commission of Inquiry on the Gukurahundi massacres.
Represented by Mathonsi Law Chambers’ Dumisani Dube, Ibhetshu LikaZulu secretary-general Mbuso Fuzwayo, Dumisani Mpofu of Masakhaneni Trust and Charles Thomas, a victim of Gukurahundi, yesterday filed an application at the Bulawayo High Court seeking the release of the findings.
They cited Mugabe as first respondent, and Mnangagwa, Mohadi and May as second to fourth respondents, respectively. In his founding affidavit, Fuzwayo listed Mugabe as the chief architect who ordered the ethnic cleansing of the Ndebele tribe when he was Prime Minister between 1980 and 1987 and was the one to whom the Fifth Brigade directly reported during the killings.
Mnangagwa is cited as the current President of the country, while Mohadi is cited as the VP responsible for Healing and Reconciliation. May is cited as the head of the British government which was the guarantor of the Lancaster House Agreement and was directly in charge of the demobilisation process of ex-fighters between 1979 and 1985, the period in which Gukurahundi occurred.
“This is a constitutional application to compel the respondents jointly and severally to release the official findings of the Zimbabwe Commission of Inquiry into the Matabeleland disturbances, also known as Chief Justice Dumbutshena and Justice (Simplisius) Chihambakwe Commissions respectively, and/or alternatively first and second respondents to set up a public inquiry (Truth and Reconciliation Commission into the Gukurahundi genocide) and ensure post-conflict justice, healing, reconciliation and reparation amongst other measures,” Fuzwayo submitted.
“In 1981, the Zimbabwe People’s Revolutionary Army (Zipra) opposed Mugabe’s Zimbabwe National Liberation Army (Zanla) and violence broke out in areas surrounding guerilla camps throughout, particularly Entumbane. Politically-motivated violence in Entumbane during 1981 was followed by killings in Matabeleland, a western region in Zimbabwe inhabited by Ndebele, Xhosa, Venda, Kalanga, Sotho and Nambya people, among other minority tribes who were opposed to Mugabe’s rule.”
Fuzwayo said the government responded with a series of military campaigns in which thousands of civilians were raped, butchered, tortured and lost their property.
He said the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops’ Confederation and Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace spoke to Mugabe and provided documented evidence on the killings and as a result a curfew was ceased on April 5, 1983 and the Fifth Brigade was withdrawn from Matabeleland.
“After widespread international condemnation and domestic criticism, first respondent set up a commission of inquiry headed by an international jurist and then Chief Justice Enock Dumbutshena (now late) to investigate the killings and other atrocities,” Fuzwayo submitted.
He said findings made by the inquiry team did not please Mugabe, leading him to dissolve the commission. He said in September 1983, Mugabe set up a four-member commission chaired by Zimbabwe High Court judge Justice Chihambakwe to further investigate and it compiled a report on the atrocities through recording of statements from victims and witnesses.
The inquiry team presented the report to Mugabe, who did not make it public. Fuzwayo prayed for an order compelling the respondents to release the report.
Mpofu and Thomas in their affidavits concurred with Fuzwayo and prayed for the release of the report demanding that the government should set up another commission of inquiry on the killings for healing to take place.

Jonathan Moyo , a Zanu pf stalwart who left Zimbabwe during the liberation struggle to guerrilla training camps on and then proceeded to study in the USA on aZanu pf ticket, is a man who claims to have lost his father to gukurahundi, while some argue that he is the son of Ndabaningi Sithole the original Zanu leader who mugabe grabbed power from, is the architect of the Tsholotsho declaration designed to remove Mugabe and replace him with Mnangagwa, the architect of AIPPA, POSA and the 70 minute video in cabinet that led to Mnangagwa’s downfall.

Phelekezela Mphoko, the long term Rainbow 5star hotel resident, a Zanu PF stalwart and CIO, publicly denied Mugabe’s involvement in gukurahundi and claimed that it was all a Western governments genocide, thereby making alaughing stock of the people of Matebeleland. Frustrated Zimbabweans, understandably nicknamed him ‘Mboko’.

Obert Mpofu is the filthy rich former Minister of mines during the diamond find. Question is, do people see how these men killed their own, cemented Mugabe’s power, enriched themselves and aided the Zanu Pf crimes and corruption, while hiding under the false claims of tribalism, yet supping with the devil, just like Dumiso Dabengwa and SK MOYO!

When anyone talks about Matebeleland politics, the names i have highlighted are key figures, past and present, who had the power and influence to make change, but did not and thats why they are regarded as sell outs.

Let the truth be told to all Zimbabweans, about the real game changers I have mentioned, all other figures are simple nobodies who held no influence, of no consequence to the nation as a whole as little is known about them beyond Shangani river, let alone locally, unlike the leaders I identified for the readers, typically leaders whose actions directly impact upon the whole nation , not just Matebeleland region and thats what the article is about,..national politics!

Its because all others leaders are insignificant leaders in national politics which is why they never changed anything about the whole nation unlike, Phelekezela Mphoko, Obert Mpofu, Jonathan Moyo, SK Moyo, Dumiso Dabengwa and Enos Nkala, who held influence over gukurahundi, chiadzwa, Tsholotsho declaration, 70minute politburo video, AIPPA and POSA, the real game changers in national politics yet did nothing for the people of Zimbabwe and thats why all other small leaders , are not worth mentioning because they literally are ‘small’ names in national politics!
Rtd Colonel Tshinga Dube another Matebeleland leader in illegal ZDF diamond mining operations in DRC was as far back in 2002 in mining operations at Kalobo in Kasai Occidental run by Dube Associates of Zimbabwe Defence Industries. Tshinga Judge Dube, a Zimbabwean politician, member of parliament for Makokoba then a member of ZANU-PF and appointed Minister of Welfare Services for War Veterans, War Collaborators and Former Political Detainees in March 2016.
People of Zimbabwe are tired of Unity accords, GNUs and other peace arrangements that serve the interests of leaders and do nothing else for the people. The people need what puts food on the table, they need schools, hospitals, water, electricity, roads, job, peace, equality, prosperity and other development for all tribes, races and parties not just their leaders as clearly happened.
Now again when the nation is pushing for unity, peace, reconcilliation and forgiveness, we have other Matebeleland leaders calling for Matebeleland to be broken off from Zimbabwe and to form a separate state. I question the logic of breaking an arid region only fit in general fro cattle ranching to break off from the rich Zimbabwe, split families, friends and others on tribal grounds at a time when we all long moved beyond the politics of tribalism because of intermarriage, diaspora movement and knowledge on how to live together peacefully from being part of the global village.
Does it make sense that from wherever one will be coming from, whether Masvingo, Midlands, or other region, one needs to produce a passport just to get to Bulawayo? Furthermore, if we allow this, what then are we saying about the rest of Matebeleland, for example the Kalangas, Venda, Tonga, Nambya, Sotho and other groups, who don’t consider themselves Ndebele? I believe they all have an equal right to declaring their corners, independant states, then what? Can we realistically imagine a Bulawayo city center as a Ndebele state then every few kilometres, one has to produce a passport to cross into the next state,..how ridiculous if you ask me. I also wonder what the idea is, marginalising other tribes like how Mugabe did it over 37 years? The people do not hold such hatred towards fellow tribes as is spewed by these divisive leaders, filled with hatred, vengeance and bent on destroying peace, unity and harmony between the people of different tribes.
The message to all Zimbabweans, is that wake up Zimbabwe, you have seen how these other Matebeleland leaders misled the people, enriched themselves and did nothing for national politics let alone their own people, just like any other politician! How do you know when a politician is lying to the people,…the answer is that as soon as a politician opens his/her mouth they are telling lies! Wake up Zimbabwe, don’t be misled by greedy politicians bent on self enrichment while destroying your heriatge!
The people of Zimbabwe should fearlessly stand their ground and give no ear or platform to spew such divisive nonsense whether on main stream or social media. These retrogressive people can be silenced without threats, insults or hatred towards them but simple common sense across media as that has more power in reaching the people.

If a site or group spews hatred, divisionalist mentality, racism, violence, terrorism, segregation, tribalism, sexist, religious hatred, gender stereotyping and other ‘isms’, quickly distance yourself from it, report it not only to Facebook, but local authorities such as police, and other sources of help, thereby protecting all our children and future generations from such filth. The less we promote such filth by distancing ourselves, blocking and decampaigning the rubbish and informing all that its not aplace to be at, the sooner we clean up the social and mainstream media. freedom of speech and association should not be interpreted to mean freedom to spew vile and dangerous material to the public. We all have a duty to stop it,..STOP IT NOW! I will always say, silence all these hate filled thugs, one Zimbabwe, one people,. no Sell outs, vatengesi, abathengisi! DISCUSS! BY Sibusiso Ngwenya.
