‘Was The Zanu PF Million Man March , Support, Stupidity, Fear Or A Combination Of All By Suffering Zimbabweans’

Currently Zimbabwe is reeling under an unprecedented unemployment level well above 90%, collapsed Service Delivery in Health care, Education, Housing, Transport , Electricity and Clean water reticulation systems.PRESIDENT Mugabe and the First Lady Amai Grace Mugabe greet multitudes of zanu-pf supporters who, in spite of the bad press from private media and cold weather, graced the Million-Man March in Harare on Africa Day

Not in a million years did anyone expect in this day and age that  the 92 year old despot, president Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF could still draw such a crowd in support of their ‘visionless’ pursuit.

The filthy rich Mugabe , his Zim 1 family,Zanu PF stalwarts  and Securocrats continuously loot national wealth by monopolising wealth and power.

What hurts the destitute Zimbabweans the most, is the fact that Mugabe, militarised the Chiadzwa diamond fields and ‘looted US$15 Billion’ which is unaccounted for.

Its disheartening to see the same victims of Mugabe’s impoverishment, sing dance, ululate and chant in support of their own oppression.

This is a rude awakening about what lies ahead in the future, namely the 2018 ballot. Opposition need to step their game and unite in a, credible, and formidable  democratic force  powerful enough to unseat Mugabe and his Zanu PF in the 2018 Ballot.

The Support that the controversial  Million Man March received as shown by pictures, left many Zimbabweans particularly opposition forces, shell shocked.

It is time that Zimbabwe’s opposition forces looked at the bigger picture and realised that Zanu PF are not going to hand over the nation on a silver platter to democratic forces. Opposition need to come together in a credible formidable force capable of unseating  the despot and all his Zanu PF in 2018.

As much as MDC T can run around the country holding protests, it will serve nothing other than a show of force and simply that. Opposition need to work together and draft a concrete working document on what needs to be done and how it will be done in order for us to achieve the ultimate goal of unseating Mugabe and all his Zanu PF.

This starts with fighting for credible Electoral Reforms, which if we can all remember was previously achieved under the government of national unity (GNU)  between 2008 and 2013. However opposition enjoyed Monday morning tea and dropped their guard, resulting in none of the  already agreed and signed upon Electoral Reforms by Mugabe and the relevant opposition party principals ever being instituted.

The fact that the 31st Jully 2013 ‘NIKUV’ ballot resulted in Mugabe’s Zanu Pf dominating parliarment and Tsvangirai subsequently surrendering  seats to Zanu PF, effectively left Zimbabweans voiceless and powerless to effect any meaningful changes under the current political dispensation.

Where we felt we had moved forward, we have instead taken 1 step forward and two steps back. It is important now for opposition to unite, then court international forces such as SADC and other Election Monitoring bodies to come forward and oversee the forthcoming electoral process.

Opposition must fight to have all the electoral reforms that were previously signed up to, effected before taking the people through to the next election.

There are millions of Zimbabweans living in fear or  forced exile across the diaspora, yet who have a right to vote in the motherland Zimbabwe, but cannot, because Mugabe and his Zanu PF demand that voters must be registered and living in Zimbabwe.

It is critical that opposition push for external votes to be allowed in the 2018 ballot so that the diaspora voice can be heard.

There is no point in participating in the 2018 elections without credible electoral reforms in place as its simply escorting Mugabe and his Zanu PF to, yet again another stolen election victory. Wake up Zimbabwe Mugabe Must Go!
