ZIMBABWE NATIONAL LIBERATION WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATION (ZNLWVA) will submit a petition to Mnangagwa advocating for a name change from Robert Mugabe airport, because Mugabe is a sellout.

The most troublesome group in Zimbabwe, which was at the helm of all suffering in Zimbabwe under Mugabe, now says it will submit a petition to President Emmerson Mnangagwa advocating for a name change at Zimbabwe’s main airport named after former president Robert Mugabe.

Formerly Harare International Airport, named Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport last year is yet again to be renamed if the war veterans petition to rename it again is entertained.

The war veterans who adamantly stood by Mugabe throughout our suffering, his corruption, monopoly of wealth and power along with corruption, now claim Robert Mugabe is a sellout.

ZNLWVA , at a conference in Harare today, through Secretary-General, Victor Matemadanda say they will hand over a petition to President Emmerson Mnangagwa soon, as the airport name tarnishes the legacy of theZimbabwe liberation struggle because Robert Mugabe is a sellout.

ZNLWVA condemns the MDC Alliance leaders, Nelson Chamisa and Tendai Biti for calling for the extension of sanctions against Zimbabwe, claiming snctions are the root cause of economic stagnation in Zimbabwe.

According to the war veterans they will safeguard the sovereignty of the Zimbabwe nation that they fought for. They say they will not to allow the opposition to reverse the gains of the liberation struggle. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
