MATURITY DISPLAYED AS MDC Nelson Chamisa and Thokozani Khupe, met in mourning MP Vimbai Tsvangirai on Thursday.

Death usually breaks some people apart in anger or hostility, while some who might have been feuding all along, begin to close the rift between them.
The MDC T leader Thokozani Khuphe and MDC leader Chamisa met in mourning the late Glen View South MP Vimbai Tsvangirai on Thursday and they were even seen talking amicably to each other.
Several MDC supporters started , loudly booing and jeering at Khupe, resulting in Chamisa stepping in by going up to the podium during a church service at the Harare City Sports Centre in Harare and announing to the crowd of MDC supporters whom he aksed to behave: “If you’re not able to be tolerant to Dr Khupe, then you’re not able to respect me and that, we will not tolerate. I hope you don’t feel I have dressed you down in front of visitors,”
Initially, the MDC vice chairman Job Sikhala had stood up and urged MDC supporters to stop the booing and accord respect to the late Vimbai Tsvangirai (35) who passed away on 10 June 2019, after spending close to a month hospitalised as a result of the car accident that claimed the lives of her uncle and a friend.
The accident happened near Guinea Fowl barracks close to Gweru and it involved several; vehicles driven by soldiers. It is sad to note that Pastor Chiwenga was involved in a horrendous crash near the Chatsworth turn off along the Masvingo to Harare road on their way from Johannesburg. His wife and and Baba Kanyuki died as a result of the accident.
Vimbai Tsvangirai was laid to rest at Glen Forest in Harare on Thursday afternoon. The Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda also attended the funeral.
Chamisa demonstrated maturity when he described Khupe as a “comrade in the struggle as we go forward.” adding that Khupe deserved respect for “the journey we travelled together.”
“You were my deputy prime minister when I was your minister; you were my vice president when I was your spokesperson and organising secretary. That hierarchy is not broken,” Chamisa said, as he also revealed that he had personally sought Khupe on Wednesday after learning that she was at the Tsvangirai home in Strathaven. “We will build this country together. Everyone has a role,”
www.newzimbabwevision has always stated that the behaviour of any crowd is the responsibility of the leader, emphasising that whatever vile utterances, or intolerant hostile behaviour that is displayed by the crowd, it falls squarely upon the shoulders of the leader. It is incumbent upon the leader to reign in any uncouth actions as, doing nothing, is simply legitimising whatever is happening, as it all becomes a norm in the system.
What transpired today is a clear demonstration that if Chamisa travels across Zimbabwe and addresses his supporters and leadership structures at provincial level, and encourages peaceful, tolerant street protest, we can have a massive, progressive, globally recognised popular uprising in defiance to the oppressive militarised Mnangagwa Zanu pf regime.
