Respected Zanu-PF elder, Cephas Msipa, has penned a book that could set the cat among the pigeons within government circles as it spotlights on democracy deficiencies in the country and how authorities did little as an estimated 20 000 innocent people, mainly in Matabeleland and the Midlands, were brutally killed by the Fifth Brigade in the early 80s. The book, titled In Pursuit of Freedom and Justice – A Memoir, dismisses the official massaging of…

Ndabaningi Sithole Family Up In Arms Against Munangagwa’s , (Nkomo & Sithole) Sellout Claims

VICE President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s decision to give an unusually extensive and no-holds-barred interview to the London based NewAfrican Magazine seems to have backfired after he appeared to sully the legacies of country’s liberation icons. The normally reserved Mnangagwa opened up in extravagant and some may say – careless fashion – during the interview as he reportedly characterised former nationalists Joshua Nkomo, Ndabaningi Sithole and others as “sell-outs”. Mnangagwa said Rhodesian leader Ian Smith had told…

‘Who is the sell-out –Nkomo or Mnangagwa?-The Full Truth!’-by ‘Ian Beddowes’

Emmerson Mnangagwa’s recent rant against Joshua Nkomo, Father of the Zimbabwe Nation, calling him a ‘sell-out’, not only does not stand up to historical scrutiny, but invites investigation into the well-documented collusion between ZANU and the forces of imperialism and apartheid and Mnangagwa’s role in that collusion. Before we go deeper into the role of ZANU and why British intelligence found its creation necessary in 1963, let us briefly look at the record of Joshua…
