STATE ISSUES WARRANT of arrest for former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development Francis Gudyanga after he failed to turn up for court .
Yesterday, Francis Gudyanga the former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development did not turn up yesterday at Harare magistrate’s court. He had previously applied for the temporary release of his passport , which he was given back in October 2018, claiming that he needed to attend a summit in South Africa. He however failed to return the passport as ordered and has failed to turn up for trial, leading to the state issuing a warrant of arrest for him.
It has been a very active time for authorities who arrested Wicknell Chivayo today at court over a case involving his company Intratek and at the same time, the trial of Zimbabwe’s ex Energy minister Samuel Undenge, who faces corruption charges , relating to Wicknell Chivayo’s Intratek company which was clandestinely allocated a US$5 million loan for the construction of the Gwanda Solar project, a white elephant that was never built, has been moved to November 19. It is important for Zimbabweans not to be over excited as this is simply Mnangagwa’s militarised regime attempts to shift the people’s attention from the fact that its now one year since the infamous ‘Operation Restore legacy Coup’ clearly the con of the century.
