Zimbabwe has earned a spot at this year’s Miss Universe competition, which will take place in El Salvador, Central America, in two months.

Brooke Bruk Jackson, a 21-year-old beautician, was crowned the winner at a glamorous ceremony held at the Harare Hippodrome auditorium. Jackson emerged victorious after competing with 11 other finalists and secured her ticket to represent Zimbabwe at the Miss Universe pageant in November.

Jackson’s win comes with a host of prizes, including a US$10,000 cash prize, a trip to Victoria Falls, a one-year contract with clothing company Hilz Couture, a spa treatment, two years of accommodation, beauty products, and air tickets to and from Central America. Additionally, she will become a brand ambassador for several sponsoring companies.

The first princess title was awarded to Nokutenda Marumbwa, while the second princess crown went to Amanda Ziyambi Mpofu. Jackson expressed her pride in being Zimbabwean and her excitement at representing her country on the international stage.

Miss Universe Zimbabwe was praised for promoting opportunities for young women to excel in various areas and for aligning with the vision of empowering the girl child and promoting Zimbabwe’s potential for development.

The event featured high-profile judges, including reality star Luis Munana, businesswomen Zodwa Mkandla, Pokelo Nare, and Joana Sharpe, as well as former Miss Universe Zimbabwe Langa Sibanda, among others.
