Twelf Zimbabweans reportedly died in a collision between a kombi travelling from Musina heading towards Polokwane on the N1 and a truck heading in the opposite direction

On Thursday, twelf Zimbabweans reportedly died in a collision between a kombi travelling from Musina heading towards Polokwane on the N1 and a truck heading in the opposite direction near Botlokwa village and caught fire. Eleven people died on the spot and one at Polokwane Provincial hospital.

The kombi struck a stray donkey, lost control and swerved into the oncoming vehicles where it collided with the truck and three passengers were burnt beyond recognition. The identification of victims continues and Police have asked for help in identifying victims on 002715 2301001 4 or 002782 3043 686. More news to follow. By Sibusiso Ngwenya
