The carcasses were first found towards the end of the last month and new cases have been reported almost every day.

Although the cause of the death is unknown, the villagers only threw away the intestines and consumed the rest of the meat. There has also been a massive influx of crocodiles in the affected area.

A group of officials was seen taking blood samples a few days ago but no officials from National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority have been seen so far. byo24
