‘BUS ACCIDENT: Mutare bound InterAfrica bus rams tree, killing five instantly and injuring seventeen after driver sleeps at the wheel’
Road accidents in Zimbabwe particularly bus accidents and road deaths are now a right of passage so to speak. Less than a week after another Zimbabwe bound coach crashed and killed Zimbabwean people on the N1 near Louis Trichard in South Africa, another one has crashed killing more today.
A Mutare bound Interafrica coach crashed early this morning killing five instantly and injuring seventeen . The driver of the coach had reportedly been dozing off at the wheel when the crash happened.
The coach had left Murambinda and the dozing had been ongoing since then with a failed attempt to take a brief sleep on the route, at Nyazura before the crash just 30 km later on near Odzi along the Mutare to Harare highway. By Sibusiso Ngwenya.
