CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC: , the EU finance ministers have agreed on a €500bn (£430bn;$540bn) rescue package for European countries hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC: With the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who led the final Brexit through, currently incapacitated and having been in the Intensive Care Unit at St Thomas Hospital in London, the EU finance ministers have agreed on a €500bn (£430bn;$540bn) rescue package for European countries hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020 and has now entered an 11-month transition period. UK effectively is no longer part of the political institutions.
