Deputy mines Minister Gift Chimanikire, deputy to Mines minister Obert Mpofu went on to say that the Chinese government was actively surveying yellow cake deposits in the far northeast of Zimbabwe.

Iranians engineers had actually at that time reportedly been sent in to assess uranium deposits in Zimbabwe.

The worry was that Uranium ore, or yellow cake, is the material needed for conversion to uranium gas which is subsequently converted into nuclear fuel or enriched to make nuclear weapons and so, the United States and the European Union in turn imposed crippling sanctions on Iran because they feared the prospect of Iran managing to build a nuclear bomb.

It is important to note that uranium deposits in Zimbabwe are found in the Kanyemba district, about 150 miles north of the capital Harare. It is estimated that Kanyemba Mine has over 45,000 tons of uranium ore.Germany first discovered uranium deposits in Zimbabwe in the 80s but they were not mined because the market price was low. However we are well aware that China was granted “special mining rights” to mine Zimbabwe’s uranium deposits and diamonds by the Zimbabwe government, in a deal that sold off Zimbabwe ..again! The deal entailed China building a nuclear power plant in Zimbabwe and providing military hardware to Zimbabwe’s Securocrats, the power behind Mugabe.

The United State being committed to stopping Iran from securing a nuclear weapon responded by warning Zimbabwe against selling uranium that could be used in a nuclear weapons programme to Iran, as such a deal would violate international law and lead to severe penalties.

According to the US State Department, the UN Security Council Resolution 1737 prohibits the sale or transfer of uranium to Iran, except for low-enriched uranium when it is incorporated into assembled nuclear fuel elements for light-water reactors.

In theory, the government of Zimbabwe is bound by its commitments to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and relevant legally binding UN Security Council resolutions, however, the reality as US warned recently, is that Zimbabwe has joined a select group of rogue states on the US radar.

High on that list is the rogue North Korean state which in a space of one month has launched two intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) tests that make any point on mainland US reachable to North Korean missile attacks. The situation is now tense as the US could easily attack North Korea over this. It therefore boggles the mind why Mugabe’s government are keen to associate with a rogue state like Iran and raises alarming flags as we know Zimbabwe has been sold off to China because of its diamonds and uranium.

It is important that people are aware of the fact that
Lowenbrau , a partnership between Omega Corporation Limited and an Australian company which had a 70 % shareholding stake with locals including Robert Zhuwao, Roderick Mlauzi, Nkonzo Chikosi and Charles Matezu wanted the mining rights to Kanyemba Uranium mining rights back in 2006.

Robert Zhuwao is the owner of Red Fox Hotel, an establishment in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare known for Zimdancehall entertainment . Nkonzo Chikosi was the then Director of Security for Zanu pf. It is obvious to all that Kanyemba uranium mine was actually a Mugabe, Zanu pf project. How would you expect ordinary people to know about uranium which the Germans had left back in the 80s except through Mugabe revealing secure government data,..in this case to his Zanu pf director of security and nephew Robert Zhuwao.

Zimbabwe is being sold off as the Gushungo family continues tomonopolise wealth and power while the future of all our children black, white coloured any race any tribe religion or political orientation are left with nothing but desperation and no opportunities in life.

If Zimbabwe is further sold off to Iran because of the Uranium deal, then Zimbabwe faces the major threat of being slowly turned from a Christian nation to some other most likely radical religion and a full time enemy of the west. This of course will benefit those after monopolising wealth and power. However, this is an extreme view of what we are on the verge of in the hands of Mugabe, Zim1 family, Zanu pf stalwarts and securocrats are limited in their view of the future because selling uranium to Iran, not only places US foreign policy at risk, but the whole world as a nuclear weapon can be launched at any nation and start a major war that kills anything up to millions of innocent people and destroys the land and water resources through contamination.

A the time of writing, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe had reportedly arrived in the Iranian capital Tehran for the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
