MARONDERA COP shot dead by colleague at the ZRP Support Unit S/M, Dombotombo base in Marondera
A member of the police force identified as a Sgt Major was allegedly shot dead by another police officer in Marondera on Saturday morning.
Sources familiar with the situation told Bulawayo24.com that the incident happened around 3am at the ZRP Support Unit S/M, Dombotombo base in Marondera.
It is alleged that the Sgt Major was shot, by a constable whose whereabouts are now unknown, after a misunderstanding.
According to the source, there are fears that the suspect has also shot himself after a gunshot was heard.
There are also reports that there was a break-in at the camp, a day before the incident, and some money and others items were stolen. by Simbarashe Sithole.
