MDC-T Bulawayo spokesperson Felix Mafa Sibanda has challenged President Robert Mugabe to resign to save his face and ‘legacy’ because his wife has extremely embarrassed herself, his family, Zvimba community, Africa and the international community.
Grace Mugabe assaulted his son’s a young lady she found in her son’s hotel room in South Africa.
“The wayward behavior of Dr.Amai Grace Mugabe is so unparalleled to image that is the First Lady. We as free Zimbabweans, feel greatly betrayed by the first family decorum and public relations of the same. We as Byo provincial executive and stakeholders are calling His excellence Mugabe to throw in the towel sooner than later.
It would appear the First lady herself and her two sons are an embarrassment of the highest order to the Nation. The office of the president is the highest office in the land, therefore we demand his immediate resignation before worse things overtake his natural vacation of this high office of the land,” he said.
“In conclusion, we are calling for a massive peaceful demonstration to frog march him from the office of the presidency, if he can not voluntarily decide. This country is a constitutional democracy hence we want to pursue all process being guided by the same constitution.
